8 month old has loved the shapes since we bought a couple of months ago and always plays with / throws the shapes when it’s out. Mostly puts them in his mouth as a teether. Wooden box has quite sharp edges so we kind of keep that out the way as he has a tendency to throw himself around. Expect he’ll enjoy it still when he’s a bit older and starts shape sorting!

Absolutely delighted with this lovely traditional shape sorter. It’s well-made, robust and the shapes are well finished in beautiful colours. It’s quite challenging for my two-year-old grandson, of course, but he’s already got the hang of some of the easier shapes. Needs help, sure, but that’s what granddads are for! It’s lovely to look at, the price is reasonable and just for once I feel I’ve made a really good purchase. Finally, as others have said, the packaging is amazing. Feels like the company has really gone the extra mile. Small criticism: a toggle to hold the lid in place might be good. I will try to put one on myself. To be honest we never thought we need this toy. However, the ability to sort shapes is something which is considered as a measurement for kid's development. So we bought this toy and thought to try it out. First of all, I would like to commend the presentation. The packaging is really neat and I would even say - beautiful. It is very presentable. The quality of the product is also great. It smooth and the colours are bright. In general, the shapes are good and what one would expect from this type of toy. However, some of the shapes look very complex and not like traditional square, star triangle things. Overall I am very happy with the purchase and this will no doubt will be something the kid will carry on playi8ng until mastering the most complex of the shapes.

good toy for toddlers

I bought this for my daughter who is 2 years old as an xmas present. When i opened it to wrap it up for her it was packaged beautifully with a ribbon around it. It also had a little card with it saying who had packed it which i think is a lovely little touch. When my daughter opened it Christmas day she loved it and she still does! The cube itself is well crafted and sturdy. The shapes are in a vivid assortment of colours and are also well made. We are definitely enjoying learning different colours and shapes with the aid of this toy. I would definitely recommend it and also buy other products from Jacques. Their communication is very good and you can tell they're passionate about the toys they craft. If you're searching for a beautiful old fashioned children's toy definitely check out Jacques.

As fancy as this looks from afar, its pretty cheap looking at it in detail. Doesn't reflect the price. Had since Christmas day, and its already split. Child's only younge so not as though its been played with too heavy handedly either. Shame really. Not sure what the other products are like. Hopefully better quality.

Ein wunderschön gefertigtes Spielzeug. Ist wunderschön mit Liebe zum Detail verpackt. Bin echt begeistert, wie schön es gefertigt ist. Und es sind auch eher ungewöhnliche Formen drin, nicht nur die üblichen. Preis für das Produkt ist auch super.

J’ai commandé ce cube car les formes avaient l’air plus complexes et ça me convenait pour ma fille qui adore ce genre de jouet. Mais le cube que j’ai reçu n’est pas le même. Les formes sont très simples, du coup ma fille l’a réussi rapidement 2 fois et s’en est déjà lassé, dommage. Mis à part ça la qualité de fabrication et de packaging sont au rendez-vous.

Giocattolo in legno per bambini molto bello nella sua genuina semplicità. Si presenta in un delizioso pacchetto, ottimo se lo si compra per fare un regalo. Ci sono moltissime forme che metteranno alla prova i più piccoli ma che li aiuteranno a stimolare le loro abilità.

Die Verpackung und Verarbeitung des Spielzeuges waren sehr ansprechend. Unter all dem bunten blinkenden und quikenden Plastikspielzeug fiel der Holzwürfel positiv auf. Es wirkte alles wirklich sehr individuell gestaltet. Da es relativ viele Öffnungen und Formen gibt, ist der Würfel als Speilzeug für ganz kleine Kinder vielleicht noch etwas überfordernd. Dafür können aber auch noch ältere Kleinkinder damit Freude haben.
