The Little Prince

A beautiful book, that I have gifted many times. Great gift for anyone including grown men, and little kids.

The Little Prince is pure magic. It’s my favorite book of all time, and I find myself coming back to it over and over. It’s beautifully written, full of gentle wisdom, and speaks to both kids and adults in such a unique way. Every time I read it, I take away something new. I love it so much that I gift it to friends and people I care about—it’s the kind of book that stays with you and makes you see the world a little differently. A timeless treasure!

I liked that the boy was curious. Like, he was always asking questions.I would recommend this to Lil' Petey from the world of Dog Man (Haha) If he existed. Also, my boyfriend, Torin. And I gave this 5 stars because of the imagination and plot.

It reads like a children's book 📖 but for adults with many hard and beautiful lessons we all should learn. Great read to land on for 2025. ❤️

After having it on my to-read list for several years, I've finally gotten a copy of The Little Prince. When I opened it I was beaming with excitement; when I had flipped to the last page, my eyes were moist. The book was a beautiful tearjerker. The Little Prince is told in first person from the perspective of an aviator who crashes his plane in the Sahara desert. There, he encounters the titular Little Prince. While the aviator repairs his plane, he—and we, the audience—get to know more about the Little Prince, his life, and his journey from his home planet. I won't spoil the ending. However, I will say that it is foreshadowed. Some of the major themes of this book include the sharp contrast between children and adults, with the latter often portrayed as nonsensical, and the importance of finding meaning beneath the surface. All readers can find valuable lessons to learn from this book regardless of age. This book was a quick read; I finished it in less than two hours. If you want to get a child into reading, I highly recommend this. Its length is short enough to not be intimidating, and he or she will resonate with the characters. Overall, a short and excellent read.

I’m dropping one star because I cannot drop half (4.5) The cover arrived with some scratches; it would be great if a shrink wrap could be added to prevent damage from friction during shipping. That said, the pages have a beautiful, thick paper quality, which I really love! I’m excited to receive the book and start enjoying it.

So simple. So clear. Into my heart this story crept and now remains forever. Even if there are clouds in the sky drink deeply. Unseen the stars can still be heard. Thank you Antoine de Saint-Exupéry.

Sad but a truly memorable read for me and my son. I didnt read the dedication/ get pretext until afterward, but it only makes the rest of the book better.

Dieses erstmal 1943 in New York erschienene Kunstmärchen zählt schon lange zu den Klassikern der Weltliteratur. Und das durchaus zurecht, wie ich finde: Den Kleinen Prinzen sollte man gelesen haben, wenn auch nicht zwingender Weise auf Englisch. Ich besitze ebenfalls eine deutsche Ausgabe, die mir persönlich auf Grund der größeren sprachlichen Nähe besser gefällt. Die englische Übersetzung habe ich als Geschenk für einen englischsprachigen Bekannten gekauft, der das Buch noch gar nicht kannte. Zur Handlung selbst wurde in den Rezensionen hier schon alles gesagt, zu den berühmtesten Zitaten, die es aus dem Text in die Alltagssprache geschafft haben, zählt unter anderem wohl: "Man sieht nur mit dem Herzen gut. Das Wesentliche ist für die Augen unsichtbar." Auch wenn das natürlich absolut zutrifft, sollte man das Buch kaufen, gleich in welcher Sprache. Und immer wieder lesen, für neue Denkansltße, Einsichten, oder einfach, weil man sich selbst verändert hat und so immer wieder einen neuen Zugang zu diesem zweifellos zeitlosen Text finden kann. Eines jener Bücher, das ich nicht missen möchte, also eine ganz klare Kaufempfehlung.

C'est un petit livre de chevet très enrichissant, qu'on peut ouvrir à n'importe quelle page, de plus il est très court à lire
