Review: What happened? - I don’t know what happened! I bought one of these several years ago and it was perfect. When I got another walking stick I bought another. This one I bought on October 27th. Today, on November 12th, I was at a market and the tip split badly. It is past the return period. I would like the maker know about this, but I don’t know how to contact them. I believe that they should be made aware of this. After batting 500 on these tips I am still going to order another because no other maker provides the same type of product. I have looked and nothing else comes close. I just hope this one is a fluke!

What happened?
I don’t know what happened! I bought one of these several years ago and it was perfect. When I got another walking stick I bought another. This one I bought on October 27th. very good in deep snow and thick ice.
My cane with this tip got me through extremely deep snow and icy conditions several blocks to cleared roads. Unlike the bolt on claw it does not catch on things when retracted. However if there is only a thin slippery sheen of ice on the side walk the point will not bite and it is useless.

Works great on our icy street.

The sheath which fits over the cane split within days of normal usage.
Normal sidewalk walking conditions. Never even got to test the retractable spike.
