I’ve owned many boots from Ariat. Yes the lower end ones like these are made in China unfortunately. While that does not sit well with me I can say these are well made and will hold up about a year. Granted I’m not a pretty boy. Blue collar to the bone I put boots through their paces so if they hold up a year for me they may hold up years for you.

Fit as expected based on shoe size. Color was as pictured and very comfortable boots. As with any leather boots, they need to be broken in, took about a week for the stiffness to give way and now they feel great. I wear them for about 10-15 hours a day and my feet do not hurt. They provide good traction and, so far, are very durable.

Ideal User: This product's ideal user is for the person who needs a pair of boots to put through work or that would like a pair of nice boots to use for casual or formal situations. The ideal user would be someone that gets their boots dirty. They may also drop heavy items on their feet. This product is very ideal for that. The ideal user of these boots like a nice pair of boots for a very reasonable price. The user of these boots will not have to worry about having any problems with these boots or needing to replace them for a long time. Criteria: These boots fit just as expected, they did not take long to break in which is a very large aspect I go off of. I really like the looks of these boots as well. They go with mostly any outfit. They are also surprisingly durable. These are the most durable boots that I own. Most boots are basically worn out in 5 to 6 months, after 7 months, these boots still look amazing. The color is also a really nice aspect of these boots as well. The color is a brown and can be used as a dressy boot as well as a work boot. The boots have a very good sole and feel very comfortable when you walk. Another criteria that these boots were rated on were price. These boots were eighty dollars cheaper than other boots just as good. That is what pleased me the most. Positive Aspects: The wear of the boots are almost non-existent. This is my second pair of the same boots and will be buying a third when this pair wears out. Most comfortable boots I have ever owned. The price was very pleasing for these boots. The durability of these boots are amazing and has left me speechless for how long it takes for these boots to wear out. The style of these boots are great. The tan color is a very neutral color making these boots easy to like. Negative Aspects: The only thing that is negative about this is that the top of the boot chaffs for a day or so after owning them, but after that, it goes away and feels fine.

This is the 3rd pair of Ariat boots I have purchased through Amazon, and I have never been disappointed. The boots are GREAT, I had originally bought this pair for me and remembered my father wore a 2EE, so took them to him they fit him like a glove. He immediatley fell in love with them and could not have been happier seeing that look on his face at the fit and style. If you wear a WIDE or even a regular D, buy these in a 2EE, it will change your mind. My brother in law tried them on and was going to order a pair in 2EE as well. This gives you very little break in and they just feel awesome. Again, this is the 3rd pair and all have been 2EE, I wear a regular D as well. The boots look great, feel great and I continuously receive compliments on the look of the boots. I wear them year round going out, daily wear, chores, riding my motorcycle, I wore a pair of my Ariat's on a 2800 mile motorcycle ride from TX to SC, even getting rained on every day the boots dried out quickly and were ready for another day of use and riding. These boots are great bought a pair of Ariats for the girlfriend and she loves them. Do yourself a favor and buy these boots, you will not be disappointed.

First off these are my first Ariats. The boots are of very quality construction. I read a lot of reviews to size down for these, but I went with my tried and true size 12 from Chippewa, Justin, Redwings, etc. The Ariats fit like a glove as a cowboy boot should. I have a long narrow foot and these hug every inch of my foot firmly and soften over time as it is leather. So be warned if you have regular or wide feet I would recommend going E or EE. Lastly I was worried about the sole because it doesn’t look to have any grip to make it non-slip. These are actually incredibly tacky on the bottom and I haven’t had any issue on any terrain, indoor or outdoor. Phenomenal boots all around if you pick the right size.

All of my boots are size 9 across several brands. My go to work boots are Justin driller steel toe, size 9B. Read reviews about sizing down so I ordered an 8.5D. The 8.5 is about 1/4 inch longer than my size 9 Justins and were too loose in the heel. The Ariat D width feels more like a B width which is perfect for me. Ordered 7.5 and 8 to get the right fit, size 8 was perfect. I have a high instep so it’s a little tight but it will break in. The people saying order 1 size down are right.

I waited two months before writing this review as it's not a quick item to review after 10 minutes of use. The good news is they are very good looking boots, and once you've broken them in a bit, they are very comfortable as well. Breaking them in was very fast. I wore them around the house for an hour the first day, then two hours the next day. On the third day, I wore them all morning. On the fourth day I wore them all afternoon. On the fifth day I did an 8 hour stint in them no problem. They have quickly become my "go to" footwear. Cleaning is relatively straight forward - I use some saddle soap followed by Bicks #4. They always come up good as new. The only thing I can see happening in a year or two is getting just the heels re-soled as I am a bit of a "heel pounder" when walking about and I do tend to walk about 45-60 minutes a day in these even though they're not "walking" boots.

Size was perfect and looks really good.
