Percival the Plain Little Caterpillar

I love this book!

The children that I read to at the library love the book.

My 14 month old granddaughter just adores this book. She loves pointing to the bright mylar inserts on the animals and asking for me to name the animals or colors. The story is delightful about a caterpillar yearning to be brightly colored and finally realizing that dream after his metamorphosis.

Fantastic story...I read it to my 18 month olds 2x's+ a day! Kids are really attracted to the shimmering areas of the page. They seem to enjoy the story also.

We've had this book in years past. Couldn't remember the exact name. Lots of catepillar books out there! We finally found Percival, much to my grandchildren's delight. This is one of the dearest most beautifully illustrated childrens books in print.Great for beginner readers and a joy to read to pre-schoolers. So simply written, but with lots of wow factor...Color,Sparkle,Smiles!
