My miniature dachshund LOVES this bed! He really loves to dig and burrow, and this bed has been a huge help. It is a good size for him (he is 7.5lbs) and seems to be comfortable. It is easy to take apart, clean, and reassemble. My only complaint is that the white fuzz on the cover is easy to remove. My dog loves to dig it up and it gets all over my house, but it keeps him entertained and is nothing I can’t vacuum up.

This bed is great! I was going to return it because my dog didnt like going into it. I wish it came with a pool noodle for more support of the arch. I flipped the cap to the other side and now they use it as a regular bed and its their favorite. I will say its pricey but very soft and great quality.

It really is that big! I was just sure that they had photoshopped a big ol' retriever into a tiny bed in the description, but 44" is actually massive. (I can't fit inside, myself, but I can easily curl up on it as a full-grown, overfed adult human.) My smaller dog (40lbs) can easily burrow under it and hide away when she wants a bit of alone time. My big guy (80lbs, janky knee) hasn't mastered the skill yet, but when he does manage to get underneath, he is in 7th heaven. It was very difficult to fit the compressed foamy insert into the cover correctly, but after a few weeks of the dogs smushing and scratching at it, it's almost centered. (I am not looking forward to trying to put it back on after I wash the cover, now that it's fully expanded.) I took the boning tube out so that the covers would lie flat, as it was difficult for the big guy to get comfortable with it pushing up at him (I'm grateful that's an option). I wish that there were more burrow fabric, as there's not much extra to scratch around (which is both my dogs' favorite pastime), and I absolutely DESPISE the faux sherpa fabric - it's just like little fluff balls glued to plain knit fabric. The fuzz ends up all over my short-haired dogs whenever they walk away from the bed, and then it gets deposited around my house when they shake or scratch it off. Despite that, I'm glad to have it - the dogs love it, and I love when they're happy.

Our boxer absolutely loves to burrow under the blankets in our bed but he also prefers to be near his people throughout the day. We bought him this bed so he can still burrow whenever he wants but it can be easily moved around the house to wherever we are. He was not a fan of the tube that holds the blanket part up to make it like a tent. As soon as we removed that piece though he was happy. The bed is a nice thickness and the foam and cover are both very soft. The size is perfect for him. I love that the cover is removable for easy washing as well. The price point was also about half of what other beds for a dog his size cost which made my wallet happy.

It’s really cute and my dog loves it so far. I wouldn’t exactly call it orthopedic though, as the foam insert is a pretty cheap quality more like a thin eggshell foam topper not memory foam or anything. The way the insert is made to hold up the blanket cover part doesn’t actually hold it up so he’s still figuring out how to get under it without me lifting it up for him. Once he does get under it though, he sleeps like a baby.

This dog bed really surprised me. My dog absolutely loved it. It’s great because it has a zipper, so it’s easy to wash. It also comes with a support insert that you can place around the edge to keep the top more open if you want. But my dog, who is a dachshund, prefers to stay tucked inside the bed. I even bought another bed for my puppy, but the biggest surprise, of course, is that they both prefer to sleep in the same bed!

My dogs love this bed. Sadly, because the cover is inferior quality, (faux sherpa & thin faux suede material for the grey part) it will need to be replaced. Not only does the faux sherpa constantly shed (still 2 years later), it is worn completely through in several spots and actually has large holes now as I have a small dog who likes to scratch & burrow for a few moments before he curls up for naps, and that has caused damage to the underlying memory foam (chunks of foam are coming off). I had to remove the plastic tube that makes it pop open for them to crawl inside and be cozy, and instead flip the whole bed upside down for my 3 small dogs (all under 25 pounds) to still be able to lay on top of it with the non-damaged side of the cover exposed, which basically turns it into just a regular dog bed and not the cozy "cave" they love. I have other older dog beds with much more durable covers that have withstood many washings and dog use. I'll be shopping for another one of these with better quality. Spend a bit more and get one with a more durable cover! This one is probably going in the garbage unless I can figure out a way to replace the damaged material with something more substantial that is still washable.

Dachshunds love to burrow and 'cave beds' seem to be the general favourite of the breed but I recently realised that the one she preferred had gotten very thin on the bottom. As she will be turning 15 soon, I set about looking for a nice orthopedic one for her...and this is perfect! It's kept in my office so she is in it the majority of the day but of an evening she often 'asks' to go in there to climb into her new favourite bed! As you will see from the photos, we didn't insert the opening tube as she likes to snuggle in it but it does mean I have to lift it up for her to get into; she can do it herself but she's a bit of a diva! She is an only fur-child but this bed would easily fit two of her in and she's a larger miniature dachshund at 6.5kg but the mattress is so lovely and thick (looks like an egg box when you get it) she barely makes a dent in it so would be fine for heavier doggos too. Very impressed and will probably have to buy another for the lounge!
