Although you will not use all the nibs contained in this set, it is still worth having. The nibs with the ink reservoirs are perfectly sized and hold enough ink for me to write a complete sentence before dipping again. If you are a beginner remember to wipe excess ink off on the inside of your ink jar as this nibs are designed to hold ink very well.I am very very happy with this purchase.

Great variety. Some unusually designed nibs as well as a robust variety of stubs and flat-round nibs. I was able to try a bunch of nibs for a small price. The black packaging is heavy card stock not a plastic material and cannot be reused as mine ripped removing the nibs for the first time.

I’m new to dip pens and decided to use these to experiment. They are cheap, obviously, but that’s a great way to learn. Make sure you scrub them with some mild dish soap to get the oils off before using them for the first time or your ink will be really wet and come out too fast.They need to be packaged better for shipping, in a box or with foam inserts or something. A couple were bent and one didn’t fit in my Tachikawa nib holder (too small), but otherwise they’re good for my needs. Some definitely are scratchy to write/draw with, but others are smooth and do well. So just know they won’t all be great, but you’ll find a few winners and have fun experimenting. Now that I know more about how and when to use them, I can find better ones eventually.

I bought them because I am new to dip pens thus not wanting to spend too much on various nibs. My impression is that the quality is so so. Some fit into my Deleter holder but some don’t (too loose). I need to figure out how to remedy the loose fitting nibs. The tine alignment some are better than the others. Some nibs are more flexibly than the others.Well, at this price I guess I can use and abuse them, not worrying too much about rusting.

Despite not having a Speedball C size for old English style calligraphy this set is damn good. A great way to build up a large sampling of sizes and styles for calligraphy and artwork. I recommend highly.

The metal is so thin that it is sharp in some places and it cut my finger. The points dragged across the paper, impossible to get a smooth line. Very disappointing. I’d return them, but it just doesn’t seem worth the bother, so I am tossing them in the trash.
