Supplements, Maca (Lepidium meyenii) 750 mg Raw, Reproductive Health*, 90 Veg Capsules

I love this stuff! I've been taking this Maca product now for about 7-8 weeks. In fact, I will need to order a new bottle soon. I started taking Maca after doing my own research about natural herbs that aid in fertility; since I'd suffered two miscarriages this year. I'm 38 now and have felt my hormones starting to go haywire after turning 35 so I thought this had to be somewhat of a reason why I keep losing babies. Now bringbin Maca root, I'd read several articles about the historical link shown between herbal supplementation with maca root and the sustainability of pregnancies. Evidently it is said to increase libido, reproductive health and support fertility as well as increase energy- all big pluses in my quest. Afterall, seeking answers to the losses becomes all consuming sometimes and with the bloodwork from the doctor coming back generally okay, it was worth a try. Prior to taking this, I'd searched high and low for negative effects by maca root and couldn't really find any at all. So, this all leads me to share my Maca experience with you. PRODUCT: They come in capsule form and are rather large. I have no problem in swallowing pills but I have actually pulled the capsule apart and sprinkled the powder in a morning veggie juice. I'd read some comments about the taste; I don't mind the taste, it has a nutty flavor to it but not too overwhelming. I take 2-3 daily. I take one when I wake up either with or without food then I take another mid morning on sporadic occasion I will take two on my mid morning dose. * It is true that I read it was not recommended to take them after 2pm as it may keep you away. I have taken it before around 1:45-2:30pm and after tossing and turning remembered I must've taken them too late. REGARDING ASSOCIATION TO PREGNANCY: While my sweet husband and I are not actively "trying" (as I've read to give some of these herbs a couple of months to regulate), I cannot say I've gotten the "BFP" yet. But I will say I've noticed a marked difference in my energy levels when I take it and a definite increase in libido. (hubby says SCORE!) There are also other uh, um, shall I say, personal changes in regards to the abundance of fluids- remarkable- but I will leave those details out as I'm sure one can imagine. That being said, this maca product delivers what it promises in regards to "increasing" the flow of things!! I will also mention that I began taking the herb Vitex chaste tree berry in September but did not start taking the Maca until end of Octobe. I can positively say I notice a big difference in the overall feeling of my hormones regulating and stabilizing. The improvements I mentioned earlier are distinctly associated with my taking the maca! I especially like the NOW brand because I know I'm getting a good quality herb from a reputable company. I hope to be updating this post in a couple of months with the gleaming results of a BFP and sustained healthy pregnancy. OVERALL RATING: I highly recommend these Now brand raw maca powder capsules! I might be different than others in my use of maca. I have found that it makes me feel a bit strange during the day. I take Maca in the evening, around 8 pm. I find that it gives a slight boost of energy and clearer mind. Again, most people would suggest taking something like this during the day. However, typically, I am up rather late, and 8 pm is an OK time for a slight boost. Now, onto talk of "enhanced curves." If you research maca, you will read that many women have experienced weight gain in their hip and rear areas. Since this new millennium has been all about the "booty," it seems to have become a more popular product. I will put it to you like this; I was having some issues with my weight, and lost about 25 pounds over the summer. I attribute this to a personal trainer and to a particular fat burner, which completely lessened my appetite. I was happy to have slimmed down, but guess what seems to have went with it? You guessed it! So, I took this and simultaneously stopped using the fat burner. Immediately, I noticed an increase in sex drive. The "booty" part hit me a few weeks later, when I went shopping for the holidays. I live in New York City, and decided to entertain myself and go to Macy's in herald square. I had on a very fitted pair of khaki pants, and let's just say that I got some attention. I would be looking at something, and men would come from behind me to the front to tell me how nice I looked. This happened throughout the day. I am not saying that is what you should aim to accomplish. However, it does not become much more unbiased than that! This stuff really works. It won't transform you over night, but I will certainly attest that it can enhance what you do have. I think it's worth a shot :) I will admit however, that it did seem to increase my water retention in the stomach area. That is where the working out and clean diet come into play. I certainly have seen an improvement since incorporating these aspects into my lifestyle.

Guys. STOP taking those other supplements for sexual health. This stuff works great without ANY side effects whatsoever!! You won’t be walking around with an uncontrollable hard-on or migraine headaches and stuffy nose like the prescriptions cause. It just brings back NATURAL vigor when u are in an intimate situation. I’m 50 yrs old. I tried them all. I’ll admit the only other product I ever really liked was the ORIGINAL Enzyte. Since that went off market I haven’t had any equivalent product. This Maca is MUCH better without all the other stuff. If I only knew about it years ago. Take ONE daily. That’s all u need, and go on about your regular business. When u find yourself ready to have sex it just enhances your libido and other effects in the most natural way. Again, if you are not in an intimate situation, this stuff does not cause unwanted side effects or unwanted embarrassing physical effects. U only know that u took it 1.at the time u actually take it, 2. when u are having sex. Take one daily with breakfast. That’s does the trick 100% but me personally, sometimes i Take one more about 30 min before sex. Stamina! - Forget about being premature. Honestly, you feel good as if you want to orgasm, but with a control that is unbelievable. I can EXCELLENT product!! This is NOT any kind of paid review. When a product like this is true, I like to pass it in. Especially when it’s natural like this.

Overall, a quality product. Not as effective as raw maca, in my opinion. However, using raw maca, I put a tablespoon into morning coffee. This is, to put it mildly, an acquired taste. The heat of the coffee sufficiently 'cooks' the maca, to allow absorption of the nutrients, and no issues with digestive processes. The Vcaps allow for simple swallowing, no taste concerns. Even though it is a 6:1 concentration, I find the raw maca to be more effective and results are quickly noticed. I would purchase this product again.

So far the product is great. I only take one a day and I do not have any intestinal dysfunction. I have actually seen some gain in my hips and breast within week 2 or 3 but the bigger key is to exercise hand and hand with Maca. I do at home workouts(squats, arms, traps, planks) with dumbbells/Bar ranging from 5 to 20 lbs and just combine weights. I take it by 1pm everyday. I started March 1 and it's the 28th today. I'd advise to do exercises targeting area that you'd want to enhance. I've slowed down on my exercise due to being busy but will start back up to maintain and gain. I didn't have an increase in sexual drive which I was hoping for, instead it balanced me out:). I craved different foods when I first started Maca but then my appetite just decreased to normal(not what I want) so I am investing in Apetamin syrup(2 ml a day to ENHANCE my APPETITE, MINE is so LOW) to go along with my Maca routine. Any product you do use always look at the ingredients and do your research. Don't just take it because it works for someone else. That isn't always the case. My journey is of multiple reasons not just weight gain. Thanks

I have been using maca on and off for about a few months, and its been in the powder form. I really HATE HATE HATE the taste of maca, even when hidden in a smoothie or a soup.. I still taste it. Essentially the recommended dose of maca in the powder form was about 1 - 3 tsps a day which equates to generally 2 - 3000 mgs. I was tired of tasting that much maca so I tried these pills instead, and I did not see or feel any results. As most here have stated, they get an energy boost, it works well for working out, and you also feel a libido boost, but I got none of those things utilizing these pills whereas the powder form I've been using I felt within the first few days. I've even upped my intake to about 5 pills a day of this supplement to see if it changed anything for me, and I still felt nothing. Generally maca is used as a food product and with the powder I feel my best results even if I don't take a full 2 tsps a day, as a food supplement it just varies, and sometimes I would take 1 tsp with breakfast in a smoothie and one tsp at lunch with a soup as not to rush the effects so early. With these pills I could take all 5 in the morning, and not see or feel anything. Perhaps others that may not have used maca before might be able to feel their intended results with this product, I was not. 3 stars just because the shipping was great, and I can tell it is maca just based off the smell, even if it doesn't give me the edge pure maca powder does.

Worth every Yen, a really great product

I thought I'd give this a try as I've been having hormonal issues that are as of yet undiagnosed. Since starting this product I noticed a huge energy boost. (Don't take it at night, like I did the first time, you'll never sleep!) My libido went from an absolute 0 to a solid 8/10 within days. I was experiencing really bad vaginal dryness, this seems to have resolved. I've not noticed any negative side effects, but as always do your research on a supplement and make sure it won't interact with anything you already take. I think this product works for people who already have hormonal imbalances or are struggling with low energy or low libido, but if you don't have any of these issues then it won't work for you.
