Ziwi Peak Dehydrated Cat Food, Lamb Flavor - 1 kg

My cats are both dry food addicts and I've tried and failed to transition them to wet food many times. Thankfully they love this food, which although still dry, is loaded with meat and organs. I only wish it wasn't so expensive.

My cat didn't want to eat it at first but she started when I mixed it with her old food. Now, after 2 days she loves it!

Bought this for my 20month Main Coon who is very underweight for his age and breed for no apparent reason. He doesn't like it and turns his nose up at it if I try to feed him that alone so I just add a teaspoon to each portion of wet food he has through the day. It's pot luck at the time whether he eats it or leaves it, licked clean of wet meat, back in the feeding bowl. Picky little monkey. He has started to slowly put on some weight though so with perseverance it may or may not be working. It is quite pricey but appears to be good quality although it does smell pretty unpleasant. Going to try the mackerel & lamb mix next time. The addition of fish may just entice him - fingers crossed ;)

My cats are not fussy normally, they will eat anything, from rice, to cheap cat food, even some veggies, but they will not touch this food even when it is mixed into other foods they love. For an expensive cat food I'd say avoid this, it's not worth the risk of wasted money and the food smells absolutely horendous, the bag is also really small.

Its literally freeze dried meat so it has no fillers like 99 percent of dry food and it dont spike insulin since no carbs but the bottom of the bag can be dusty as the meat breaks down and your cat might not like the flavour, ours did not like lamb i personally think chicken would be best.

Premium top shelf product. I have two cats, and Ziwi Peak wet food is all they eat. Their fur is so soft, their breath smells fresh, they're very active....all because they're eating the right food! Love Ziwi Peak!

I bought this because my two year old cat started having urinary issues, even after switching to the prescription cat food my vet put him on (first he had crystals in his urine, then bladder inflammation resulting in a mucus plug blocking his urine. Ugh). I considered putting him on a raw diet, but was a little freaked about the salmonella recalls raw food companies seem to frequent. I did tons of research and found Ziwi, and it really seems to be the best out there. The ingredients are unbeatable. And though I haven't seen any bone chunks, YES, there's bone it. Cats eat bones in the wild. It's good for them. He's only been eating this for two weeks, so I can't comment on if it'll help his pee problems yet, but I will say he LOVES this stuff. He's not a picky cat, so he does love most food, but he seems to especially like this stuff. I feed him one 6.5 oz can a day plus a little of the prescription dry kibble from the vet (he's a 12 pounder). It is expensive, but so worth it because 1. Hopefully it'll help avoid costly vet bills and 2. You wouldn't feed your kids only McDonald's just because it's cheaper. When I adopted my cat I did so to give him a good, healthy life. I'll update in a few months if he's avoided anymore urinary issues!
