Worked the first time and every time.
First a little background upon myself. A year and a half ago, I woke up at 3 in the morning in excruciating pain that lasted about an hour before becoming paralyzed from the waist down. Emergency surgery 3 hours later on my back but the damage to my spinal cord was already done and the prognosis was not good. 80% chance of walking again and possible return of my body functions. I wasn’t going to take this laying down and long story short, I am now walking with a cane and 90% of by body functions have returned to some degree. During this period I had extreme difficulties taking care of my personal hygiene and still do due to the fact that I have no feeling from the waist down and only 30% of my leg strength back. In May of 2018 I asked my Plummer to look into a portable bidet after looking around on the internet. He came back with a pretty expensive model that had plenty of bell and whistles on it that did a great job for me and was defiantly an answer to my problems, however, all the extras were not really used and the washing function was all I really needed. One issue with that one is that I had to send it in just after 3 months for service, did without anything for 6 weeks, then it repeated the whole thing again 3 months later….back for service twice in the first year and the bumper to bumper warrantee has ran out. Freight and half of the service charge would be on me now. Don’t get me wrong, it’s a great piece of equipment that will cleanse you, warm your water, deodorize, blow dry you with warm air, and warm your seat and a couple other thing that I will never use. Yes you guessed it, it’s electronic and as all electronic devices go, prone to failure. Looking for an backup unit without spending $500.+/-, I came across the various bidet’s on Amazon that offered many variations but all were the some basic function and that is to cleanse your posterior when it nearly impossible to do yourself. Looking them all over and reading the reviews, I settled on the Genie Bidet because of several factors. Easy to install which I did myself with a little difficulty due to my mobility, the isolation valve that shuts the water off to the bidet and not to the toilet, choice of water pressure, the ease of removing the seat to clean, and the seat is very light to handle. The installation video really played a big factor in my deciding on the Genie though. The tap water used is not a problem being cool and really never needed heated water that the other bidet I have can provide. I like the feature that allows me to adjust the water pressure from the nozzle and my house line pressure is adequate for cleansing. I have only had this unit for a week now but it is my “go to” bidet vs. the electric one. The seat is very comfortable and easy to move around on to “find your spot”. The learning curve for this the Genie is very low. So far I am completely satisfied with the Genie Bidet and the only concern I have is I am a tad bit worried about the thickness of the material of the lid as far as sitting on it for dressing purposes. Time will tell. In conclusion, the Genie is well worth the money if you are seeking a bidet that is in the mid price range that has very few moving parts that means less down time if you do experience a problem. Having 2 bidets’s to compare cleansing, each does an equal job but all the extras you pay for that generally isn’t used, I recommend the Genie Bidet as an economical alternative.

Super easy to install. Seamless design. Work really well.
I've been considering purchasing a bidet toilet seat for a while now and I finally pulled the trigger, and I'm glad I did. I didn't think that spending $1000+ for a top of the line, heated, drying, bowl cleaning, remote controlled system was worth it. So I figured this was a good entry level option. Now that I have it installed and had the chance to test it out, calling it "entry level" would almost be a disservice. Installation: Very straightforward (if you take the time to read the instructions first), taped the seat template to the exact position I wanted, then screwed in the adapter plate. Seat snapped right into position. If you need to readjust the position, know that the button to release the seat from the adapter plate is on the right hand side. Before installing the T-connector or white water hose, remember to check the rubber washers and filter in connectors and make sure they aren't crooked and fully depressed. I removed the white regulator cover and o-ring (2nd picture) from the seat, using some needle nose pliers, and then reinserted just the regulator component. I figured more water flow is better than less. After everything was hooked up, I turned on the water, and check for leaks. there were none. My guess is that some of the leak complaints are due to not checking the rubber washers first, making sure they are present, and properly seated. Also, could be due to over tightening using tools, instead of hand tightening only, as instructed. One trick I did was I saved the plastic wrap that came on the seat and placed it over the seat and then turned on the system to check flow. I was happy to see that everything was working and that the jets of water seemed to be strong. Design: (1st picture) What I really like the seamless design. Someone just commented to me that they didn't even know I had installed a bidet toilet seat. Which is exactly what I was going for. Also, as a nice bonus, both seats are soft close, so now I don't have to worry about accidentally slamming the seat down anymore. Also, due to my small footprint in my bathroom, I have a round toilet seat, and I really like that the seat is tapered and thinner in the front, providing a little larger open area over the bowl when sitting. Operation: My initial thought was that the water would be too cold but temperature turn turned out to be just fine. The water volume is more than I need and I don't need to turn the lever to full in either direction. I've used bidets in several hotels and I can say that the pressure is higher than those. Definitely enough to get everything clean without wiping. You only need a small amount of toilet paper for drying off. Being a man, I really can't speak to the front cleaning's effectiveness, but can say the nozzle is more of a spray vs. a concentrated jet for the rear. Maintenance: The "self cleaning" nozzles is just a small flow of water over them as they retract. So I'm assuming they will need to be cleaned periodically with a brush. The instructions say they can be pulled out, but I didn't see how you could do it by hand, so I used a pair of tweezers to test (3rd picture). Also, you can order replacement nozzles if need be. Cons: I'm assuming this is a problem for any bidet toilet seat, but since the water sprays upward it can ricochet and ends up on the underside of the seat (4th picture). So that area will need to be wiped off after each use, leading to more toilet paper usage. I'm not a physicist, but I'm assuming that's pretty unavoidable. Overall: This was a great purchase. My only regret is that I didn't do it sooner. It's so much more sanitary than wiping with dry toilet paper. I recommend that you test your water flow and potentially remove the regulator cover and o-ring. Lastly, I would recommend this to anyone as it's an affordable, easy to install option, that doesn't require electricity. And most importantly, it works well and is effective.

Nice Product, Not perfect
BE SURE YOU ORDER THE RIGHT PRODUCT. You must be aware that there are two different products. One is for "round toilets". The other one is for "elongated toilets". One won’t fit the other. So, if you order the wrong product you will have to send it back. No way around it. I have seen some bad ratings due to that mistake. PLASTIC T-ADAPTER vs METAL T-ADAPTER I ordered both products. One for a round toilet and another for an elongated toilet. The round bidet came with two t-adapters (one plastic, the other metal). The plastic one was crap (Picture 1). I installed it and it failed the same night. So, I ended up with a flooded room. I replaced it with the metal adapter (picture 2), and so far so good. Of course, when installing the elongated bidet I went right to use the metal adapter. It didn't work. The adapter was faulty. Yes, I'm absolutely sure the adapter is faulty. To my surprise the plastic adapter coming with this product (Picture 3) is different to the one I received with the "round bidet". It looks more solid. So, I had no choice but to install it. Everything went right. I'm in a "wait and see mode" hoping it won't fail like the other one (picture 1), since it looks to be of better quality. QUALITY: It looks nice, elegant. Easy to install. Of course, the "easy" depends on how experienced you are dealing with plumbing. You don't have to be a plumber to install it, but you need to know the basic principles. PROS: - The product is "good for the price", not exactly in the "cheap" side compared to other alternatives. - Easy to Install - It seems well built and elegant OPPORTUNITIES FOR IMPROVEMENT: The pressure regulator is inside the water inlet. So, you have to remove a hose in order to adjust it. Ehhhh, not what you would expect of a product in this price range. The spray is not adjustable for the round bidet. It cost the same, so I don't get why the product lacks that functionality. It seems to be the same design, so if you try to move the adjuster all the way it will shut the flow. At first, it is inconvenient dealing with it. You have to find the "sweet spot". Honestly it looks to me like faulty design that must be corrected.

Yes, this is the bidet you are looking for!
I wanted a single-piece bidet for my round toilet instead of the kind that installs under an existing seat. I first ordered the KOHLER K-76923-0 Puretide Manual Cleansing Round Toilet Seat, White , but I ran into two problems. (1) It leaked from the adjustment handle. I'm sure mine was a lemon and I could have exchanged it, but... (2) the hole in the round seat version was much too SMALL, measuring only 9.75" long. It literally felt like I was sitting on a child's toilet seat. Getting everything lined up to fit when I sat down, if you know what I mean, took a lot of shifting and moving. And I wasn't prepared to do that each time I had to use it so I returned that one. I found the GenieBidet Round had great reviews. That it came with an adjustable T-connector was a bonus! Installation was very simple and fast, requiring only a Phillips screwdriver and an adjustable wrench. The instructions were very easy to follow. Like other buyers, I ended up removing the water regulator to increase the flow. Thank goodness for the adjustable T-connector! If I couldn't adjust the water pressure, without the regulator installed I'm pretty sure I would have been giving myself an enema. A big plus is that the bidet seat easily snaps off for easy cleaning. One important note. I had a problem hand-tightening the T-connector to the plastic connector on the bottom my toilet tank. No matter how hard I hand-turned it I couldn't get it to stop leaking. I was afraid to break the plastic connector but took a chance and wrench-turned it for about a 1/6 of a turn and that fixed everything. No more leaking! The only issue I have, and I attribute this to the fact that my toilet tank is slightly curved, is that the seat doesn't want to stay up unless I hold it there for about 4-5 seconds. I know this is because (1) my tank protrudes forward and the seat can only open to about 86 degrees (angle) and (2) the seat is spring-loaded to close slowly, but this also means that it wants to open slowly so you have to let the spring "fully open" before the seat will stay. Not a huge problem, but we just have a learn a different way of using the seat at my house. This bidet seat is great! It works well and is a no-brainer to install in about 20 minutes. But another reason to buy this is that the company provides amazing support. When I couldn't get the T-connector to stop leaking I wrote to GenieBidet (in my evening) and Nicole replied the very next morning to offer me some suggestions on how to fix it, which is why I ended up wrench-tightening the T-connector. GenieBidet truly stands behind its products and offers great support!

Better than an "under-the-seat" model - Good for your hoo-hoo AND your ha-ha!
I got the round seat model. I had never used a bidet, so at first I bought a cheap "under-the-seat" model to see if a bidet is right for me. I spent less money on that of course, but in the end this is the better option. [Edit: Please note there's a model on Amazon which looks similar to this one, a couple dollars less which I did not get for a specific reason: Although the pictures of the unit feature a white hose with an elbow connection at the seat, one of the reviewers of that OTHER model shows a picture with a white hose which doesn't have the elbow. That means the hose sticks out a bit... so I avoided that one.] With my earlier purchase, I confirmed that I don't need heated water. (Your butt isn't as sensitive as you'd think, although at first the cool water is a bit surprising... It's no worse than washing your hands in a sink without heated water.) So a non-electric one is the way to go for me considering all the problems with heated models (see below). But with the "under-the-seat" model I was still left with a few complaints: First, my existing seat was a "slam shut" model, so I would have to spend money to replace the seat anyway and this solves that. Second, those "under-the-seat" models stick out far to the side, which interferes with my wastebasket, whereas this one is unobtrusive. Third, when the lid is shut, the "under-the-seat" model REALLY looks like a tacky add-on. (You'll notice none of those models will show a picture with the lid closed.) Fourth, the existing seat couldn't quite be tightened down enough that it wouldn't "drift" from where it needed to be. Finally, the spray in the other particular model I got is a bit too far to the right, and uneven. This one has a "smoother" stream that does the job. I'm male and I live alone, so although I don't use the "feminine" nozzle for feminine purposes, using the feminine nozzle actually does help clean in a different way with a slightly wider spray, so even for a man it's nice to have both types of nozzle. Unlike most this includes a valve which can be used to adjust the maximum spray pressure so it will never spray TOO hard. (Separately, the valve by your hand can be used to adjust the pressure anywhere below that level.) With this, I got a slow closing seat and lid, a better spray, a "tidier" look in my bathroom, and room for the wastebasket by the toilet, spending about the same as I would for an add-on model plus a new slow-closing seat. Installation with this was actually easier than the other model. If you're not sure if you're going to like a bidet, you might do what I did and get a cheap add-on one for under $25 first. But this model was what I'm happy with after that experiment. Remember that a heated models have issues: They cost a lot more, and if it uses the hot water line it will take a while to warm up, and can get TOO hot. Plus you'd have to run a hot water line to it. A model which heats water with electricity from a wall outlet will be a pain to install the new wall outlet or run a cord, and it will still only have a limited amount of warm water. This is simple. It looks good. It gives you room for a wastebasket beside the toilet. It solves the "slam shut" issue if your existing seat does that, and gives a good clean. I'm buying a second one of these now to replace the "under-the-seat" model I bought before for the other bathroom.

A basic no frills bidet perfect as a cost effective washlet for that second bathroom.
Having recently purchased and installed a C200 Toto Washlet, I was in a bit of a quandary. My downstairs bathroom, which is really nothing more than a toilet and sink tucked under the stairs did not have a bidet. And, to make matters worse, the geometry of the room made using an extension cord or similar item impossible. However, I certainly didn't want to go back to the "old way" of taking care of business should my master bath be utilized. So, what to do? Now it may seem silly to someone who has never used a bidet seat what all the fuss is about? Let me be clear. Using a bidet is a transformative experience. Once you've used one, you realize that you've been doing it wrong your entire life. (And if you had been using moist wipes to help clean up, you were kind of suspecting there was a better way) Now obviously we can't expect to find a bidet seat in every facility we visit, but we sure can make sure that everyone we own has one. And really, shouldn't your guests have the option for a fresh spritz too? You just don't have to heat their seat or blow warm air on their fanny. So back to the problem. Enter the GenieBidet seat. This bidet seat is a basic no thrills seat that does exactly what it does and nothing more. It is a perfect seat for bathrooms that can't otherwise support a more expensive washlet or for individuals who don't wish to send the extra cash on one. It is very easy to install, the controls to use it are very basic, and it does the job of more effectively cleaning up then wiping alone. This alone earns it it 5 star rating. It does what it says it does and does so effectively. What more can you ask? That being said, this may not be the seat for first time users, or as the primary washlet in your home. The reason is that a washlet like the Toto C200 is not only effective at cleaning, but literally pampers you with it's heated seat, heated water, built in deoderizer and air dryer. It is, shall I say, luxurious, hence the price difference. The GenieBidet seat is none of these things. It gets the job done and nothing more. For someone who has a more full function washlet, it's perfect, since you plan on using it sparingly. But if you are looking for a more luxurious experience, then you probably should look elsewhere. Pros: Easy installation Requires no Electricity Self Cleaning retractable Nozzles for Front and back Cleaning Controls are easy to use. Seat removes easily for cleaning Inexpensive compared to other integrated seat bidets. Cons: There is no way to "position" the stream, only adjust the pressure. You may have to scoot a bit to get the seat to hit the spot. No hot water connection for the option of using warm water. Lacks all of the frills found on more expensive washlets.

True value for your $$$.
After purchasing the Genie Bidet and experiencing its excellence, we purchased two more for our other bathrooms. We do not have the electrical capacity for higher-end bidets; so, we chose this one. Unlike my last bidet "attachment", which was an ugly pinkish white colored contraption that jutted way out from its side, this bidet actually matches the color of my white Kholer toilet, and its mechanism is almost so discreet that one might not even know it is a bidet. This elongated seat fits perfectly and looks genuinely nice. My previous bidet "attachment" led to two cracked wooden toilet seats that required replacements. A bidet "attachment" is wedged under the back of a toilet seat so it does not allow the seat to sit flat upon the toilet which is why it eventually cracked. It did the job, but it looked terrible, was not easy to clean and damaged two seats. So, while it was initially cheap to purchase, in the end, my bidet "attachment" was not a great investment. The Genie Bidet, however, is a comfortable toilet seat that sits perfectly atop the toilet. It is a very attractive and highly functional addition to my bathroom. The lever for water usage is chrome and sits close enough to the toilet to make the seat look sleek. The cold water is not a problem at all; as a matter of fact, we prefer it; and it fulfills its purpose perfectly. I would highly recommend the Genie Bidet to anyone considering a bidet purchase. Its value is in its ability to fulfill its purpose; but with this bidet, you get a nice looking, comfortable, and soft closing toilet seat in the process. The instructions for installation were noticeably clear; and it took my husband less than 30 minutes to install it.

DO NOT FOLLOW INSTALL MANUAL INSTRUCTIONS!!! Watch video
UPDATE: This Bidet does a pretty good job for what it is. I like it however it is developing an odor that cleaning doesn't seem to get rid of. Phone customer service from GenieBidet is none existent. Call the 888 number and get a message mailbox is full. You cannot access user manuals online so if you get this unit keep your paperwork although I don't know how much help it will be. The easy off button to detach is helpful for cleaning for sure but it seems like there is dirt in the cavity of the unit. I am waiting for a reply from them as to how to clean that. . First know that I have done lots of toilet repairs and it was my anticipation that this would take 15 minutes max. It took much longer simply because the instructions were not good. I got this, unboxed it and it all looks fine. I followed the paper install instructions as much as I could. The fastening assembly shown in the paper manual instructions is different from the one with the product. I used the sleeve nut as instructed to afix the fastening assembly. The fastening assembly would not stay tight. I tried putting the bidet into the fastening assembly and it would not go all the way in easily as I expected it to. I called Genie customer support and got voice instruction to leave a message then another message that said mailbox was full and would not accept any more messages. Go send email. I go the Genie website and I watched the install video and instructions were different. Very good infact. Undoing all I had done and starting over again I hooked it up in 10 minutes. Worked fine. I test drove it and found it to be nice and helpful in cleaning but not the amazing life changing experience others had told me it would be. In order to accommodate the plumbing portion the seat is now more round shape rather than oblong and it rises at the back. Not as comfortable to sit in as a normal oblong toilet seat. I would say this bidet is ok and fine but the experience is not all it was cracked up to be. I am anxious to see how long it lasts. The construction seems pretty good and the plumbing parts fit together nicely.

Great Product, Stylish and Easy to Install
I was worried that it wouldn't fit my Kohler French style toilet, as most respondents to my question said it wouldn't, but fit perfectly. It took me abot 20 minutes to install. If you have doubts, best to review the installion video on the GenieBidet site. Very helpful. Didn't even need to read the instructions. Pros: Easy of installation, quality fiitings, functions properly. Shut off valve is great, especially if you have kids. Looks very stylish. Water pressure surprisingly strong and can be diminished by using an insert the they provide. All mechanical. No electronics to fiddle with or breakdown. Cons: Opening is a tad small for larger rear-ends. Might be an issue for larger people. No problem for my smaller frame. Water very cold. Not surprising, since there's no heating option and I installed it during cold Montreal winter month of February. Not a deal breaker. Might actually be a plus during our hot and humid summers. Conclusion: I highly recommend this product.

This is fantastic!
When I first proposed the idea of toilet bidet to my wife, she poo-pooed the thought however, after installing it, guess who likes it the most? It was dead easy to install and easy to operate. You won’t be disappointed.

Better than expected
At first, I thought that a Bidet wasn't for me. I already knew that it would be an ecofriendly choice but I simply thought that I would not like it. Then a friend bought one and convinced me to try it. It didn't take more to make me buy one. I read a lot on Internet and found that the GenieBidet would be the best choice for me. I don't regret it at all. Simple to install and it gets the job done. Nice product!
