Nice little alarm clock. I always like to have a battery one in case there is an overnight power failure. I like the way the volume of the alarm builds in a crescendo so it does not give you a fright. I find the hour and minute hands quite similar in length so you have to look carefully at times. The alarm hand is dark green and in low light can be difficult to see.

Great for travelling although a bit on the small side for a bedside. Looks nice though

I have a drawer full of discarded alarm clocks which didn't meet requirement for one reason or another. Either the back light was so poor it didn't light the dial, or the alarm was too loud, the latest to hit the back of the drawer was the alarm off button, so tiny I could never find it to turn off the incessant noise, by the time I had I was in such a bad mood. Not a great start to the day. This one is lovely, well built, you can feel it's not a cheap one. It's stylish and feels sturdy. The back light is easy to operate, snooze button is a bonus and it's very easy to turn off. Oh another brownie point the alarm starts gently and gradually gets louder so you aren't woken with a jolt. Bit more expensive but you get what you pay for in my opinion.

It’s strange that it turns up showing exactly the same time as on the box. Maybe it was designed by Wernher von Braun and we’ll all die at 22:12hours… Who knows….? It’s a nicely designed clock that you can both admire and tell the time with! Bodie likes and appreciates!

This was to replace a Braun alarm clock which I’d had for nearly 30 years. I got a similar Braun clock and it only lasted 18 months. I’m hoping this will restore my faith in Braun if not I’ll change brand. The quality is slightly plasticky but I’ll give it the benefit of the doubt for now

Bought this after a cheaper 'non-ticking' purchase failed after a few days. The Braun is a lovely little thing - quite petite, but with a very clear display and beautiful design. Very easy to use, very quiet and it looks great - I'm very happy.

I bought this because I was looking for a clock that was not digital as our current digital clock is too bright. It’s lighter and smaller than I expected. But it isn’t super noisy which is good because nu husband doesn’t wake up the same time as me and I’m a light sleeper so I hear when it goes off but it doesn’t disturb him. The alarm gets louder if you don’t switch it off which is useful. It’s hard to set an accurate time if it’s not in the hour or half hour but I think that’s the problem with all non digital alarms. Overall I’m happy with it as it serves the function well enough. It has a dim orange light when you press the button to see the time in the dark.

Its attractive and keeps accurate time. I use it as a desk clock. Its under my monitor screen. The black and silver colors match the monitor. The clock is easy to read, especially compared to the digital time on the monitor screen bar. The clock has a simple, retro look. It makes me smile because it reminds me of the analog clock on my Datsun 240Z many years ago. The clock is all good as a desk clock. I wouldn't use it as a night stand alarm clock. As others have said, its not readable at night. I think there's a slightly more expensive version with a continuous backlight, but I'm not familiar with it. This one has a button to temporarily illuminate at night, which seems a pain. Others have said its plastic and not worth the price. Doesn't bother me. It looks more expensive than it is.

I am truly disappointed to buy this clock. I never expected that a Company would ever manufacture a watch or click that can never tell the right time. I don’t know if this is a manufacturing fault or something else. I would be happy if Amazon returns my money for this useless piece.

Ich war ob der Rezensionen hier etwas skeptisch wegen der angeblichen Empfindlichkeit der Stellräder zum Einstellen von Alarm und Uhrzeit. Zumindest für das an mich gelieferte Exemplar kann ich nur sagen: Quatsch. Ich habe extra nach Erhalt des Weckers ordentlich an beiden Rädern hin- und hergedreht um bei einem Versagen das Ding innerhalb der Umtauschzeit wieder zurückschicken zu können. Es steht immer noch neben dem Bett. Und das ist gut so. Der Wecker ersetzt einen defekten Seiko-Wecker mit durchlaufender, lautloser Sekunde und hätte Seiko nicht die Schaltung der Alarmbereitschaft durch ein Drehen am Alarmstellrad ersetzt, wäre es auch wieder einer geworden. Also war ich auf der Suche nach einem anderen lautlosen Gerät ... und was soll ich sagen: von dem Flüsteruhrwerk des Braun bekomme ich gar nichts mit. Auch die Alarmtaste ist gut erreichbar und straff definiert. Ich bin sehr zufrieden mit der Bedienung. Wenn jemand exzessiv Gebrauch von einer Schlummerfunktion machen möchte, bin ich mir nicht sicher, ob der Braun der richtige ist. Aber für Sofort-Aufsteher: Besser geht nicht. Der Wecker ist kleiner, als er auf dem Foto wirkt, aber ausreichend groß und gut ablesbar. Der anschwellende Alarm ist vielleicht nicht jedermanns Sache, weil er nicht nur die Lautstärke, sondern auch sein Tonmuster verändert. Für Schweraufsteher evtl. die richtige Maßnahme, aber je länger es dauert, desto nerviger wird die Melodie. Dieses Muster in einen Traum einzubetten, erscheint mir schwerlich machbar. Insgesamt also ein erstklassiger Wecker in einem schönen Design. Der Preis ist deutlich höher als ähnlich beschriebene Produkte hier, aber ob die an diese Qualität heranreichen, wage ich zu bezweifeln. Eine würdige Nachfolge für den Seiko-Wecker.
