Hape Wooden Mini Van| Wooden Vehicle Toys for Toddler Gift

Outstanding quality and longevity. This little car has received a lot of abuse from my son and has held up for nearly 2 years! The car is sturdy and stable and the wheels turn easily. The holes and shape of the car make it easy for little hands to grip and slide across the floor. I highly recommend this for babies 6 months +.

My grandson was just over one when I met him for the first time and gave him this minivan. He enjoyed it! Which is to say, he stopped crying, picked it up, and began pushing it around on the rug. I don't know what there is about a good toy to help with bonding, but there certainly is something. He looked at me, looked back at the vehicle, and continue to push it. It really is a quality toy. The wood is smoothly sanded, the colors are bright, and the wheels rotate very easily. I'm checking out the line of toys; I hope there are more in the set.

I will give this as a gift for every baby from here on out. I purchased this to give to my son on his 1st birthday & it is awesome. It is durable, easy to grab, attractive to have around and really flies! If I could choose just 5 toys, this would be included. I really just think you need something that teaches object permanence, a lovey, something that rolls, something to chew on and something that stacks and/or nests!

We have had this car for our kids and given it to several other kids as gifts, including my 1 year old niece who is obsessed with cars. Holds up very well over time, kids love to play with it, and it’s nice to look at. The quality is lovely. And great value - it’s hard to find another toy to top it at this price point that is durable, attractive, and fun.

Nice bright color and easy to hold for those crawling kiddos. He loves to move it along under his own power as he’s crawling while saying vroom vroom.

When I received this toy, I was surprised at its size. It was bigger and heavier than expected. However it's still good, not small enough to cause choking hazard. Most importantly my 9 month old son loves it! He would use his hand to roll the car, I would make the sound 'vrooom vroooom' and he would laugh. 4 stars because the paint has come off after a few chews and bites from my son. I guess it's ok since Hape says it's made of non toxic paint.

Hape International toy line has once again impressed me of the quality of their toys. We have had this particular line up of toys for just over a year and it shows no signs of cracking, chipping or color fading. My 14 month old gives these toys a hard thrashing! My wooden floors are showing more wear than these toys. This line up has 6 pieces to its entire set. Pieces range from $11 to $13 (free shipping), I was able to collect the entire set for under $90.00. Its not cheap, but these toys are meant to last. Once my kid grows out of it, it is a nice memorabilia piece to keep or pass it down to his children. The true benefit of quality built wooden toys is ... durability! I bought this particular piece when he was approximately 10 months old. He had issue picking it up, but was able to cradle his palm ontop of the toy and slide his little fingers in the opening so that he could slowly move it around. He had so much enjoyment when he was able to move it back and forth. Its simplistic design what makes it such a nice piece. Sometimes it nice to step away from all the flashy lights, metallic shiny colors, or noisy little extra gadgets and just let his imagination make up the story. A lovely little traditional toy which was a great hit with my grandson. Easy for little fingers to hold and very sturdy against all the bashing he likes to do!
