Have a six month old baby. Is this worth buying?

Well of course yes if your baby is used to avent pacifiers...my 18 mo still uses this to goto sleep on her own...it depends on what type of pacifier your baby is using already...if your baby is not using one now, don't get one as it's difficult to discontinue this habit at a later time...

It doesnt have a cover. How does one carry it while travelling

Usually you use one for the kid. Tie a thread to it and put it around the kid and they love it and keep it when they like. If you want to carry, buy a small bpa free box plastic with lid and carry in it.

Its a very good quality pacifier. It will not have any hole at the end. So u cant fill honey and feed.
