It's so easy to set up. If you have any questions the support is very helpful. You could be a hundred years old and you get this bell to work. I love it. The phone rings in between that renney phone rings. Meaning you can hear the Renney phone is ringing very loudly but in between you can figure out where your phone is by sound. If Renny rings but you can't find your phone, then look inside your car just outside. I got a second one. Each one has a different sound so I know which phone it is. I'm thinking about getting a third one. It's absolutely wonderful if you want to hear your phone is ringing. Renny will ring when your phone's sound is accidentally turned off. I hate how easy it is to turn down the sound on your phone. Old-fashioned phones didn't do that. I would rather hear the phone ring at night than to miss important phone calls at any time of the day.

My husband is hard of hearing and we have a big house. He is in the habit of leaving the phone at the other end of the house and can't hear it if it rings, (really, when I try to call him.) This little hockey puck with an antenna sits in a mid-point between where he usually leaves his phone and the other end of the house where he hangs out and REALLY RINGS if there is a call. This can also do things like play music or announce the incoming number, but I just have it set to ring. And boy, is it loud! You can tone down the volume some and it gives a choice of about 5 ring tones. A couple of the ring tones at full volume are heart-stopping, but we managed a ring tone and volume that works for us. Easy to connect by Bluetooth. Not sure about the range for the Bluetooth if you have a really long distance (like house to outbuilding?) but works well for us. (Or he could carry his damn phone with him like a normal person.)

If you have trouble hearing your cellphone ring, this product is just what you need 👍💯🙌 My 90 year old dad still does woodworking in his garage and this product lets him hear incoming calls with ease!

Let me state up front that the only reason I am withholding one star is that I have not used the product long enough to confirm durability or design life, which will be an important feature since I will not be pleased with the need for annual replacement. (I am particularly concerned about the microphone since, for some reason, it seems to be the weakest design component. If the microphone fails, I will update this review.) Having said that, A+ for design. Very nice-looking product. High marks for simplicity and ease of operation. Bluetooth for Dummies. In response to some who have complained that the ring volume is still not loud enough, all I can say is Yikes! The ring volume is excellent. When combined with a trick I discovered to increase the length of the ring volume, it becomes a fairly attention-grabbing ringer. Consistent with the experience of others, microphone volume for voice transmission is good, not great, up to five feet away, which is fine for me. I would say it is quite clear up to two ft away. I had problems getting the voice mail to transmit through the speaker. The voice mail kept getting kicked back to the cell phone speaker, which is not very loud. Because the voice mail is accessed by dialing a different phone number, I thought I would somehow also have to pair the voice mail number with the bluetooth speaker, which, of course, I was unable to do. Worked with the phone manufacturer for awhile with no results. After thinking some more, I tried accessing the voice mail using my phone's voice command feature. This works – and only this works. If I access voice mail by any other means, such as tapping the “call back” option, it does not transmit the the bluetooth speaker. I am guessing this might be a phone problem more than a speaker problem, but not entirely sure. (I should probably add as an FYI that the cell phone is an LG306G Tracfone, so not high end.) Second to last observation may be a misunderstanding on my part, but outgoing calls do not go through the bluetooth speaker. When I attempt to use the Voice Command feature of my phone to make an outgoing call, while paired with the Renny Home, the phone shuts off, then turns on, but no call is made. I am not sure what to make of this. I expected that recipients of outgoing calls would transmit through the bluetooth speaker – and my voice would transmit through the Renny Home microphone, but this is only true for incoming calls, not outgoing. Last observation is a quibble but the computerized voice could be a tad more soothing. Sounds too much like Lilly Tomlin doing her operator routine. I will add, as an editorial comment, that this is a good product idea for older people who miss the amplified ring volume of the old cordless landline-connected phones, as well as the adjustable number of rings. When a household "cuts the cable cord", it also loses the bundling discounts so landlines become even more expensive. So typically cable cutting implies cell phone replacement of landlines. Cell phones come equipped with different design features because they are meant to be carried in your pocket or purse. When used to replace a landline inside a home, a product like the Renny Home compensates for the inadequacies of a cell phone. I think I passed the point of TMI, but as a final comment, did I mention that this little guy is loud?

I don't carry my cell phone around and have a tendency to leave it next to where I was the last time I talked on it. But I installed RENNY (easy!) and I have had a couple of phone calls now. I LOVE RENNY! I can hear Renny (even if I'm not near my phone). I can hear it ring when I'm back in the bedroom or the workroom or the mudroom and I know when to look for the phone. It's fabulous! I'm not hard of hearing but I have a sprawling house, and I don't carry my phone around with me. When I hear Renny playing the 1970s phone ring, I know someone is trying to call me and I go look for my phone. It's great!

as a very heavy sleeper and 24/7 emergency response worker, this is the best thing ive ever bought. its truly a life saver. ive never missed a call in the middle of the night since, and ive had this for nearly a year now. its been plugged in and active 24/7 since i got it, without a single hiccup. absolutely a great product! (and fair warning, if you are like me and using it to make sure you dont sleep through calls in the middle of the night, your family will hate you for it haha. this thing will wake up the whole house, and im sure my neighbors hear it too lmao)

I got rid of my land line. That brought on some problems with my cell phone. I don't carry my phone around the house. Often I didn't hear it if it was downstairs and I was upstairs, outside or even in next room. Did you ever find your cell phone under your covers??! So I put this Renny Jr. near the stairs on the second floor. When your cell phone rings, this Renny Jr. will ring first and then your cell rings. Half of the time I forget where I threw my phone so the Renny gives me some time to start the hunt. I am trying to train myself to always leave my phone in one place. Lol. It's loud enough that you hear it all around the house. But not obnoxious loud where it hurts your ears. I like that you plug it in, I get tired of replacing batteries so that's a plus. It was really easy to connect by Bluetooth. Took two seconds. This was a must have for me because I was driving myself crazy trying to find my phone. With the Renny Jr. Problem solved. Well, at least it's gotten a lot better. This is funny... Whenever we have a local power out, and our power shuts down in the house, the Renny Jr. Starts talking. That's right. I am either upstairs or downstairs when it happens. Still dont know to this date what the obviously recorded female voice says, but after a bit the voice shuts up. The Renny Jr. has a short antenna and an external speaker on its base. Often during outages, powerlines have just enough juice for this type of shenanigans. When the power comes back on, the Renny reboots and is good to go. Don't know if that will happen to you, but it is funny!

At long last, I won’t have to hear my brother’s snarky remarks when I don’t answer his calls because I don’t hear the phone ring. Or miss a call from the pharmacy, etc. I have opined for years about no way to have the cell phone ring so I could hear it throughout the house. After missing yet another call, I went to Gemini.google and asked what is the safest, most reliable option out there to solve the problem … Voila` - Renny Jr. or Renny Home were the top two that were recommended. It arrived about 12 hours later, and was working about 5 minutes out of the packaging. I am not a particularly technologically savvy person, but it set up easily, paired incredibly easily with my cell phone, and soon thereafter announced a call from my brother. HaHa, no more snarky remarks from him. I am NOT someone who takes the phone with me from room to room, and if I do, I often forget it and then have to go looking for it. I can now leave it in the living room, and know when I have a call. BTW - it also lets me know if I have received a text! WOW !!! While the Renny seems to be marketed for ‘elderly folks’ or those with some hearing impairment, I don’t fall into that category. Just someone who doesn’t keep my phone attached to my hip. Note: I did go online for the Manual where I read it should not be placed up high or near more extreme temperatures. I do suggest a quick read in case there are any other salient details relevant to the purchaser. The troubleshooting guidance is also written very very very clearly. I am just so happy that after years of chagrin, I won’t be missing calls if I’m at the other end of the house, or if music or multiple TVs are on. THANK YOU RENNY ! ! !
