Folks w arthritic hands: Before you invest in a wax machine, check these out! Wax provides about 10 minutes of comfort, which is wonderful. These mittens do the same--or better-- for a lot less $$ and a lot less inconvenience. EG--If you need to scratch your nose or answer the phone, you simply slip off a mitten! Just 1-2 minutes in the microwave. Another big advantage over the wax is that they apply pressure and so for me create more lasting comfort than wax.

After hand surgery, I was facing weeks of physical therapy. I needed to heat up my hand prior to PT and this mitt was the answer. I found myself using it more and more during the day and evening because it made my hand feel so good. My husband and I are seniors so it’s not uncommon for our hands to be cold by just sitting around during winter months. One evening his hands felt cold so he decided to slip his hand in my mitt and loved it. Now he is a big fan! I’m so glad I have two. It’s not uncommon for me to heat up one for me and one for him (even though he has nothing wrong with his hands). The heated beads surround your hand in every little curve and the fabric is so soft. I find myself holding it up to my shoulder and neck to “cuddle” with it. I HIGHLY recommend this product to anyone recovering from hand problems OR for any elderly person who suffers from cold hands. The heated beads stay warm for a lengthy amount of time which eliminates frequent heat-ups. Love it and will definitely keep one around at all times.

Someone gave me a pair as I get cramps in my hands. This really was a great gift and effective for me, so much so, I ended up purchasing a set for my mom who’s also been having cramps in her hands. These are soothing and works for me and now my mom too. They are weighted and should be heated as directed. They are heat retentive.

The mittens didn't fit my large hands so I tossed them and kept the four sacks filled with clay beads. I heat two of them in the microwave and they do a great job of warming my hands. I don't heat most of my house so I wear extra warm clothes during the winter, but my hands can get cold. Once my hands get cold, it takes forever for them to warm up on their own, but using these clay bead sacks provides instant warmth and relief. I put a microwaved sack into each of my hoodie pockets and within seconds my hands feel good again. Note- if you microwave them too long the beads will burn a hole in the sack and pretty much render it useless because the beads will just keep falling out with each usage.

These mittens are of exceptional quality in both materials and workmanship. Very attractive packaging with simple and easily-understood instructions. I especially appreciated the mittens arrived on my porch packed in the UPS-labeled original point of sale packaging only - without the ubiquitous, unnecessary extra and wasteful Amazon cardboard carton. Way to be a good environmental steward, PhysioNatural! The covers are very nicely stitched and attractively trimmed. The soft, fleecy cover fabric is great quality - thick, comfy, and a lovely color blue. The mittens heat easily in the microwave per the directions and they stay therapeutically warm for great relief. I enthusiastically recommend these mittens. They are a great value.

These are amazing!!! I broke both my wrist and I needed a way to heat them up to work on my PT exercises. These two just the job and they make my wrist feel great. They're super comfortable and they hold the heat very well!!

I’m not really happy with these. The heat doesn’t last long at all; less than ten minutes. Also the hands get pretty wet and also the outside.

In a word: these mittens are fantastic. Easy to heat (be careful not to add too much extra time in the microwave - READ & FOLLOW THE INSTRUCTIONS!) and so easy to use. I have average size male hands, usually wear a large work glove, and these are a very comfortable fit. In the microwave I set for 45 seconds, flip the mitten over, then another 45. Then, depending on my pain level, I will flip and add another 20-45 seconds. The heat is very comforting and the pain relief is superior, both initially and lasting for quite a while. I will usually pop them back in the mirco for another 45-50 seconds on the re-heat. One very nice feature is that the media (the clay and flaxseed) are somewhat distributable within the glove/mitten and I can move it to the area where I most need relief - very very nice to have that option. I recommend these without reservation.
