About the Artist: In 1991 at the Escuela de Bellas Artes (School for Fine Arts) in Colombia a passion for the arts began refining itself in the heart and mind of Celina. Celina del Castillo was born in Germany and her life travels have taken her from Germany to Colombia and now to the USA. Currently she resides in rural Maine refining her craft to spread a message that fuses natural world images with a stylized view that accentuates the beauty within each image. In the US, Celina has continued to advance her artistic understanding by achieving a degree in Web Design and Multimedia. With this fresh new technological understanding and a keen eye for found beauty, Celina achieved the GD Magazine American Package Design Award in 2012, followed by the GD Magazine American Web Design Award in 2013. During this inspirational and transformative period her artistic endeavors garnered even more attention when her projects were displayed in New York City's Times Square as part of the 2012 "Art for Times Square" design initiative and again in 2013 when her photography was displayed at the EXPOSURE exhibition in Long Island City, New York. Some of Celina's photographic images are displayed in our subsidiary images. All these laurels and artistic growth were not accomplished in isolation, but enhanced by her care and devotion for her two children. Drawing inspiration and drive from family, Celina continues to gather momentum to carry her passion forward.
