Mosquitos absolutely love me and I am allergic to Deet. I bought a few different styles of the Parakito bracelets for myself and my sons who don’t get bit like I do. They completely leave my boys alone while wearing these and help me ward off most mosquitoes while I’m wearing them. I do wear one on an ankle and one on a wrist. During dawn and dusk hours I will still get bit but not nearly as much as without the bracelets. Before buying these we were using the coiled citronella bracelets but that smell alone is completely overpowering and would make me sick to my stomach after awhile. I am thankful I found these bracelets. I do understand their limitations and am still cautious as to when I go out during mosquito season but they help a ton. I’d rather have one or two bites than quite literally 30 of them. I would recommend these. I bought them of my own accord and was not paid to give a good review. They are pricey but worth the comfort and functionality of them I feel. They are way better than the cheap coil ones. Because the citronella is diluted with other oils it definitely makes the scent much easier to deal with. I also do put lavender and peppermint oil directly on my hair, neck and ankles to help ward away mosquitoes and all of it together makes it much more enjoyable to be outside.

My youngest has severe reaction to mosquito bites. So we do our best to keep him from getting bitten because even one bite becomes a baseball sized welt. He's seven and we live in the south so it's a lot to have to spray him every time he walks out the door. Recently he ran across the way just to talk to our neighbors and walked in with 5 bites that were already swelling and fevered so I went on a mission to find some way of providing some level of protection for the times he wasn't bug sprayed. I found this product and the price and 2 week expiration was a bit hard to justify but I decided it was worth at least trying. We are 3 weeks in and i have not used bug spray once. He grabs his bracelet every time he sets foot out the door to go play outside. We keep in in a baggie when it's not being worn and i think it has helped it last longer though I just changed it just to be sure but it still smells pretty potent. I'd still spray him if we were going out in the woods or fishing but for everyday yard play this thing is so worth it! My teen went out side with him last night and he came in with 6 bites on his legs and asked for a bracelet like his brothers (who did not have any.) So here I am on Amazon looking at adult sizes.

It works well on the area that you wear it. I need one for my wrist and one for my ankle. It has a very strong citronella smell to it, which I knew it would but it is STRONG. So strong that I would think it would keep mosquitoes 6 feet away from my entire body. I would still recommend it. However, being on the pricy side, I will not buy another. Just my opinion.

Took them camping, the two in our party that seem to always attract mosquitoes and react badly to their bites seemed unaffected this trip. Really like no chemicals, all natural oils. I would recommend them based on our experience. The only thing is in California though I can order the wrist band with 2 pellets, they will not allow me to buy refills saying it cannot be shipped to our address, very frustrating. I will but again.

I live in Texas and this year I had had enough with scratching bug bites into open wounds. I wore the bracelet for the 15 days and did not get bit. I put in the refill for the next couple weeks and same amazing success story. No bites. During my ownership of the bracket I vacayed in Mexico. With the change of scenery, different bug life and the bracelet being annoyingly soggy from sand and salt water for days on end, I dared to take it off. Everything was chill until the morning after I arrived back home in Texas. Guess what? I was scratching bug bites. So, I put it back on and have been wearing it ever since. I refill on the 1st and 15th of the month and try to remember to take it off for baths, showers and pools but the risk is high to forget to put it back on and get bites 😅. It's now on my subscription order so I don't make a mistake with not refilling it. For long term wear: If you think you smell it on your hand or skin after a couple days I rotate to an ankle or other arm. I tell myself I'm getting better coverage with the rotation days. Ha!

I got this to combat the Asian Tiger Mosquito INSIDE MY HOUSE after we sprayed for mosquitoes outside and they all decided to move inside. I'm not sure how this works with other species, but it does not work specifically for the Asian Tiger species. I've watched them literally land on the wristband and rest after sucking out half of my blood. It's being treated like a park bench in central park where middle management guys can enjoy a sack lunch.

My 2.5 year old gets awful bug bites. They turn into welts and are all over his legs. These really work! He is able to wear them all day, every day (he’s little and wears them on his ankles). Decided to try these for a couple of reasons: (1) non toxic and safe for a toddler (yes, it has gone into his mouth a time or two) (2) easy to wear - he wears it all day at preschool. This is key since we aren’t with him to keep applying bug repellent (3) they can get wet and still work We notice a huge difference when the little tab runs out of potency (every 2-3 weeks), or when he doesn’t wear it. Works so well my husband got one too. These are pricey, but worth it, especially if you have a little one who attracts bugs!

I really hoped this would be an answer to using Deet based bug sprays. The bracelet comes just as described. The scent packets are labeled & easy to insert into the bracelet. Unfortunately, the mosquitoes & black flies were not deterred. I tried different bracelet locations & different scents (although they all seemed to be about the same). It didn't matter. The only thing that kept the bugs from biting me continues to be a Deet based spray.

La pulsera está bien, las tabletas no huelen mucho, aún no la pongo a prueba como tal pero se ve prometedora.

Son de tela, cómoda para la muñeca o tobillo del niño, no es áspera, con diseños divertidos también. Al ser de tela puede lavarse cuantas veces sea necesario. Por otro lado las pastillas son de un aroma fuerte pero considero que apenas son suficientes para ahuyentar a los molestos mosquitos.

Lo recomiendo ampliamente para evitar los piquetes de zancudos en los niños!!! Funciona perfecto, hasta ahorita ha sido la mejor opción que he comprado…

El envío llegó según lo indicado y el funcionamiento fue bueno, no hace milagros, pero para lo que me suelen picar, se redujo bastante.

No funciona en climas de playa, estaba en tulum con la pulsera en la pierna y veo como se para un mosquito y me pica. Almenos NO funciona ahi
