can these moulds accept normal high firing clay

Hello and thank you for your question. The Katy Sue moulds themselves are oven safe to 200 degrees C so not suitable for putting in a hot kiln with clay inside. Our moulds work well with clay - it depends on the size and depth of clay. For this mould, for example, it's not as deep as (say) a pine cone mould, where you get a good sized object out of the mould and that will be fairly sturdy. This mould is shallower, so the clay shape coming out will be finer. It would be up to you, based on your firing experience, to decide if the clay you get out of the mould would withstand the hot kiln. I'm sorry this is not a definitive answer, but I do hope it helps, best wishes, Team Katy Sue.
