Very easy to use and everything you need to make unscented soy candles at home!
This candle making kit is awesome, especially for the price! I had not made container candles before and it was super easy to use, the instructions were easy to understand. I will say that the amount of wax included is only enough to make about 14-15 ounces, as I made two 6.5 ounce container candles and I poured the leftover wax onto my fragrance warmer (not sure the exact amount, but I’m guessing around 2 ounces). No fragrances nor dyes are included, so keep in mind you’d have to purchase those as well as more wax to make more candles. I do wish that the instructions were more clear on what temperature to melt the wax to, and when to add fragrance (at what temperature). There are no instructions for what temperatures to do for either of these, it just says to melt the wax until it’s no longer cloudy. For me, I believe that happened around 165 degrees Fahrenheit, or maybe higher. I added the fragrance at that temperature, the lowest I added would have been 150. I stirred in the fragrance oil slowly for 2 minutes so it could really bind with the wax. I did these temperatures based on YouTube reviews on soy wax, which is this wax type. It seemed to work well for me, as the candles I made have a very nice cold throw (you can smell them when they’re unlit). I have not lit them to test because they will most likely be gifts, but I am optimistic that they will smell lovely as they burn also. I recommend pouring the wax into the container at around 130-135 degrees, because I poured at around 145 degrees and I think it was still a little too hot. I say this because after my wax had set for 30-60 minutes, there was a hole on the top nearby the wick on both candles. I looked up that this is often caused by temperature difference between the wax and its container, and if the container is too cool and the wax is too hot, it can cause issues with how the wax sets and can cause holes. Anyway, overall an excellent product. You get everything you need to make unscented, soy wax container candles at an amazingly low price and value. I had no issues whatsoever with the pitcher, it was very easy to pour wax and to melt wax. Usually I could touch the handle without it hurting my hand; often it was the steam from the hot water that would hurt more, but I would turn down the heat because you don’t want the water to boil too much anyways when melting wax (or so I’ve read).

Highly recommended for starting out!
This is kit is perfect for beginner candle makers! I just got my second kit! I’ve made tons of candles but the tools in this work even when you’re experienced! They last very well! I think I’ve probably had my first kit for around five years! Super easy to use and clean…if you add a little white vinegar in the water in your pan and then stick the pitcher with the wax in, it helps keep buildup off the outside of the pitcher. The pitcher is big enough to melt wax for two or maybe three 8 oz candles at a time. Makes a great gift! That’s how I got my first set.

Quality, spendy
Good kit, expensive hobby. Won't make much. I got 2 medium-sized candles out of it.

Great start for beginners!
I was nervous to make candles, always wanted to but thought it would be hard. This kit however made it extremely easy! I purchased candle dyes to make different colors and used yogurt OUI glass jars to pour the wax into. I measured 1 and a half cups for the OUI jars and that capped out almost perfectly (had to dump just a little leftover into the trash but if I had been motivated enough I could have made a tiny tealight candle with the leftover (but that would be challenging due to such small size ) I read several reviews about this product before ordering it and was hesitant to order due to so many comments about the wick going out fast and candle wax tunneling into a small column not ever really using most of the candle. That was not the case maybe it was the type of containers I used for the wax (Oui yogurt jars) but mine came out wonderfully and burned just fine and did not tunnel. The scent isn't that great I would recommend trying to add scents later after you get comfortable with the making of candles for the first few times but I imagine it wouldn't be that tough to add. It does not come with a thermometer so if you really want to be anal about temperatures etc then purchase a candy thermometer that is said to work well based on other reivews I read. Happy creating! May your homes burn bright and lovely!

This is so fun!!!
My husband and I ordered this kit to make people candles for the Holidays. It was SO easy, perfect for beginners!! The kit comes with everything you need to make the candles and has easy to follow directions. Three things of note: 1. This is unscented, order a scent if you want the candles to have one. 2. It is white, so order a dye if you want a color 3. It does not come with any containers to put the candles in, we just ordered little Mason Jars. So fun we ordered more wax to make even more!!

Quality control could be better
I deducted two stars because it looks like I got a mixing cup that’s been used before. It still has residual wax and scratches inside. Since I’m not making food with this it’s too much of a hassle to send back and exchange. The kit is convenient to use as a starter kit. You can buy individual replacement later as you go along. There’s only one centering gadget to keep your wick standing up after you pour the hot wax in… so you can either only make one candle at a time or come up with your own gadget if you want to make multiple candles in one go. If want to add color to your wax MAKE SURE TO GET A DYE SPECIFIC FOR WAX … instruction just said add color dye (WELL IT AINT GOING TO WORK!!) most dyes you have around the house are water soluble or food dye ..those WILL NOT WORK WITH WAX.

Easy and fun
Great kit. I save all my wax and add to it to make great 3 wick candles. I put the glass jars with used candle wax in the freezer for a day or so and the wax falls right out to reuse in the same jars over and over, only add new wax as needed to fill jars. Way way cheaper than buying store bought 3 wick candles.
