Could one use this for Growing Plants?? :D

Absolutely! I overwinter my plants in my bathroom using this lightbulb. Since my bathroom is not on my regular heating system, I've added a very small space heater called Lasko My Heat which uses only 200 watts, and have converted this into my winter plant room. My plants love it.

I have S.A.D. is it effective, is it expensive on electricity in comparison to the energy saver lights?

It is about the same efficiency as a traditional lightbulb. I use one to prevent S.A.D. and it is very worthwhile. From a Yahoo answer, the cost works out to aboutP = 100W = 0.1kW t = 10 hr. Energy = P t = 0.1kW * 10 hr = 1kW-hr Cost = Energy * Cost/Energy = 1kW-hr * $0.10/kW-hr = $0.10So even if you operated it for 10 hours per day it would cost 10 cents, or 3 dollars per month.

Are they full spectrum?

Yes, they are full spectrum. I like them because I have plants, and they are like bringing sunlight into my house. I hope this helps.

do you have a warranty on bulbs? I bought a light bulb and it only lasted for 3 weeks :(

I have two of the same bulbs and use them for at least 8 hours every day for 3 months now with no probs. I doubt there is a warranty available but also believe Amazon will make good on the manufacturer's claims of average life 5,000 hours. Sometimes during shipping the bulb's filament can become damaged from getting bumped around and therefore shorten it's life significantly.
