Yes, they cannot provide warranty for seamless/flawless functioning, but it does work without any issues (a1708). The only issue is that it consumes more battery, even in sleep as it is not an apple ssd.

You can install full sized nvme m2 ssd (like s@msung 980) in your samsung galaxy book pro. If you want to install this sabrent one (Sabrent 1TB Rocket NVMe PCIe M.2 2242) which is shorter you will probably need some mounting accessory. Also you will need enclosure for m2 ssd if you want transfer all your data to new ssd.

Hi I installed the 1TB on into an A1708, you need a converter, but it just fits. If the 2TB thicker, it might not fit.

How do you check to see if the motherboard can accept 3.5mm thick drives?

2242 is the dimensions 22mm by 42 mm. These ssd drives are very thin, much thinner than SATA equivalents. For PCIe slots you need an adaptor, the motherboard needs a specific M.2 slot. You will see 2242 devices and 2280 or similar for different lengths of SSD (42mm or 80mm), there should be a screw in the motherboard at the right length from the slot to hold this drive securely in place. They are normally used in NUCs etc.
