Love the looks, love the heft, maybe 5oz blade-heavy, at 4lbs it will work your wrist single-handed, however, the 3-1/2 hand grip gives plenty of authority over this 42' beauty. For unknown but happy reasons my blade shipped razor sharp - as it's katana size, make sure the cat is out of the room before practice. The blunt reverse looks like it would open champagne nicely!

I was a little leary about spending what I did for something that was going to hang on the wall. Not knowing much about Kit Rae at the time, I like what I seen but you can't alway be sure. Sometime the pictures are better than expected. Not this time I was impressed with everything about it. It's very well made and look better than it does online. I love all of Kit Rae's products. The quality is what I expect from the brand. Always solidly made and with intricate details. The blade has fine etched runes and the handle is made of wrapped leather. The solid metal blade and handle makes it realistically heavy. (It is worth noting this one does not come with a display stand like some of their other products) One more for the collection!

Great looking sword. I collect fantasy swords and this one while not the best made sword by far it is still one of the nicest looking swords in my collection. It does look better then the picture shows, so if you're a sword collector I highly recommend it.

It was packaged wonderful. It took a long time to get it out of the box. Then I couldn't stop looking at it. The art that came with it was really cool. I love love love it. Best sword I own. On a scale of 1 to 10 its a 15. I TOTALLY recommend this to a collector. It is AMAZING!

Hello, For those into fantasy swords, this is a nice one. Though prop only, don't swing it around for obvious reasons and some reasons bellow. I'd give it a 4.5. Pros: - Quality seems to be very good, very sold construction, no odd gaps, blade doesn't wiggle or the like. Construction way better then those $30 prop Katanas ... but don't hit anyone with it, doubt the steel is made for hitting things (though it feels like it can do some major damage). - Leather work is nice, braided, comfortable. - Sword design is great, best I've seen yet to my eyes, but it's a very personal preference. - Details on the blade and metal work are great, not sure if they spell anything out, but looks cool. Cons: - The balance of the sword is wwaaaaay off, it feels like the handle is empty, feels like an axe really, but you are not going to be swinging it around, so it's not a big deal, your display case won't care. Minor Cons: - It's a touch heavy to be a real sword, balance non-withstanding, it's heaver then you could comfortably lift with one hand and run around for an hour (not that anyone would do that). - There was a tiny drop or two of what looks like hot glue on some of the metal, but cleans off easy enough. - It took a bit longer to ship then I expected, not sure why, possibly because it's a sword and customs may need time or the like, don't know. Notes: - Because it's a prop it's not sharpened along the edge, but the very tip of it is incredibly sharp, so watch out what you're poking with it, I'll go through your dry-wall wall no problem. - There are various limited editions of this thing available, for considerably more money, but I think those are only worth it if you're into the mythology of the thing. If you like how it looks, this is a great quality prop sword. Is it worth $100 (cost at time of writing)? ... I think you get what you pay for, so yes, it's worth it. I'm happy with it.

An amazing sword (with its sheath too). Its REALLY long and a bit heavy. But is well made and looks real. The blade though is obviously blunt. Overall its a great sword for those who love Elf like weapons.

Bought one from a store years ago, got damaged, ordered this showed up mint condition and ahead of schedule

my husband loved it. Came early and is exactly what I was hoping it would be. Pictures do not do it justice. WAAAAY nicer in person. Very happy with this purchase.
