Great Idea / Poor Execution - NOT UV PROOF
I love the concept and it's an incredibly handy piece of gear to have on our vehicle. I really want to love this product but there are a couple things that make it fall short:1. It is a nightmare to install or adjust. You'd think they'd make it as simple as a regular school backpack but just beefier but no, it will drive you nuts. You can't just pull on a strap to tighten it, and lift up on the buckle to loosen it like any other bag in the history of bags that uses plastic buckles. You will struggle with it forever on your first install and no directions come with the Trasharoo. If you have a swing out tire carrier it will make your life a little easier but if you don't (like me) then it is a real challenge. I'm pretty handy and fix most things myself and build a lot of stuff but the Trasharoo was no picnic, and I've heard similar things from all the other guys in my 4x4 group.2. It's not durable enough. If you're just putting this on your Mall Crawler and driving around on asphalt it will probably be fine. But I have mine on a vehicle that only gets used offroad. After 15,000 miles in about 1.5 years the Trasharoo is riddled with holes and wear from rubbing up against the spare tire on the trails even though I have it very tight and secure against the spare tire. I even have an extra strap going around the bottom of the tire to help keep it tight. It is also not UV protected and has faded considerably in the AZ sun.****UPDATE**** The trasharoo died in June 2018 which was 21 months of only weekend / adventure use on a vehicle parked in a garage the rest of the time. The AZ sun destroyed the black fabric, it turned chalky white and the slightest touch caused it to tear. Interestingly, the nylon webbing remains black and unaffected. What’s the loint of a bag meant to go on your vehicle... which goes outside...in the sun, that’s not made out of UV proof material? I know that no fabric can last forever in the sun but 21 months with being indoors most of the time is a let down.I’ve added an updated picture.

No Durability At All
Really bummed out a out this product. I recieved it and threw it in my truck, happy that I could now lug my trash & other items outside my truck.I tossed in a wrapped bundle of firewood before heading out camping. After arriving to my spot, I looked inside the trasharoo to see 5+ holes made.Final thoughts? Durability is horrible. The fact there were holes in it within 2 hours of putting it on sucks. I would blame the firewood, but I shrink wrapped it so that no edges would be digging in....The material of the bag is simply not strong enough.I would be happy to update my review if another one was sent. But hey, it looks cool and functions well if you’re OK with having a hole or two in it lol.

Do NOT buy black!
Awesome product and made well, just beware that the black will fade to purple within two weeks of being on the vehicle. As for the tan, the straps are thicker and it does not fade.

Fades quick and rips after a year in the sun, but haven't found anything better
I have my Trasharoo permanently strapped to a spare tire that sits in the sun all day every day. I use it daily to store dog poop bags in the mesh pockets, 1-2 times a week to transport up to a 13-gallon trash bag, and for miscellaneous trash like collapsed cardboard boxes.Buy the tan color; they all fade, but on the tan the fading doesn't look bad. If that doesn't look good on your car, you're out of luck. After about 11 months of UV damage, a small amount of weight in the flap pocket caused the bag to rip near both straps. However, by luck I'm still within my 1 year warranty, and I'm hoping to get a no-cost replacement. (Update: got it, except they only had green.)Summary: Expect 1-2 years of daily use out of your $50. Whether that's good value for money is up to you.

A crack, and a Heartbreak.
Man oh man, I was really excited about this. I love bags. I love my Jeep. I was stoked to give my jeep it's own bag. It showed up wicked fast, and the packaging was awesome.I put the straps around my tire and clipped them firmly. Then I began to tighten the straps and that's exactly the point where my heart broke. The clips that hold the straps around the tire broke! Snapped right off, leaving me with a lopsided useless canvas bag.A sadness has enveloped my heart today. Good luck friends. Trasharoo... you have scorned me.

Good for keeping trash out of the inside of your ...
Well made product, I don't have a spare tire mount on my truck so it straps to my tailgate. Good for keeping trash out of the inside of your vehicle and clears up space in the bed.

The buckels snapped just trying to tighten the straps on the tire
There's not a lot I can add that isn't already out there, I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but I would suggest buying some new 2" clips. I have already broken a set trying to strap this on the first time. The first half snapped while I was trying to pull the strap tight. It stuck under a lip on my Jeep JK tire mount and when I pulled it snapped off a part that the strap winds through. I bought a new buckle and went to strap it on again and this time the otherside broke, as I pulled up one of the "fingers" on the "male" side of the set snapped off, fortunately it was the opposite piece to my previous brake so I swapped in my other leftover piece.I couldn't find a 2" buckle set at my local hardware store so I picked one up at REI, I don't recall who makes it, I'm sure you can find them on Amazon. The replacement is clearly higher quality.

Worked great. Highly recommended. Small hole after heavy use
Did 3500 miles of off roading for the Baja 4000 with this bag on my rear carrying trash, jumper cables, wet bathing suits, funnels used for fuel, 2 maxtrax boards, and whatever else we didn't want inside with us. Stood up to heavy rains, deep mud, sand, etc. Just everything in baja. Only problem is towards the end a seam on the bottom started to pull open and by the time I got home it spread to around a 4 inch hole where the stitching pulled apart. Not a hole worn or cut through the fabric, but a sewn seam pulled open. If not for that seam 5 stars.
