Good hiking compact poles
Easy to travel with, fit in carry on luggage or back pack. Strong poles and easy to pop out and walk/hike with. Stronger than the titanium poles my husband bought for $$$ that sheared off when they should have been supporting his fall when he tripped. Good poles!

Great price, sturdy, lightweight, good grip, very very easy to use. Folds up small.
Exactly as described. Lightweight - I carried in my backback all the time, and it doesn't take up much space. Opened up immediately and easily every time I took it out of the carry pouch to use it. No struggling. Folds up quickly and easily. A little stiff the first couple of times I used it, but after that easy-peasy. Fits easily into the little pouch, which stayed closed in the bag, with no accidental opening. Folds up really small - fits in luggage, my backpack, even a large handbag. Sturdy - I hiked through Volcano National Park and depended on this pole. It helped preserve my knees. Good grip - never slipped. The tips at the end of the pole prevents it from digging into the soil and causing erosion or degradation of hiking trails. I highly recommend this pole, although I'm looking at getting a pair for even more knee relief. Con - I'm short(154cm, 5'1") and this pole is a little too tall for me. It still worked, though.

Does a good job for a good price
I purchased this hiking/trekking pole for a week long hike across the English countryside. It was my first such trip and my first time using a trekking pole. What sold me was that it folded into a small package suitable for air travel. It did both jobs very well, the traveling in my bag and helping me through wet and muddy pastures as well as climbing and descending steep hills. The only small drawbacks were 1) that the attached rubber tip came off in the mud and was lost forever and 2) the attached hand strap came off. But I managed to reattach the strap, which really does help you out. Now and then the English mud tried to hold onto the stick entirely, so that the sections separated as if to fold up, but the elastic cord inside did not break. This is barely a quibble.

Best walking stick
We have purchased both regular and shorter versions and these are the best for both everyday use and casual hiking. They are completely strong and solid when extended but fast and easy to pull apart sections to fold getting into car, so you donโt trip other diners in restaurants, in shopping cart at grocery store (bonus may help you reach items too high or far back on shelf). I use mine for uneven surfaces, steps with no handrail, on stairs with only one handrail and over longer distances less stress on knees and ankles. These can fold down at each connection, but I usually fold in thirds for multi stops when getting in and out of car. They will also fit in a tote or larger purse. These work much better for me than a cane and are the best and most practical walking sticks Iโve found.

Folds with elastic connector
I love this Earth Trek collapsible pole . It folds easily with elastic connections and pops open when needed. Great for car travel! I use it for walking town around town. No unscrewing, it simply pops open and easily folds. GREAT POLE for seniors needing a little more support andsecurity for walking.

I find this style of hiking pole amazing because it is so easy to fold compactly
WOW! I find this style of hiking pole amazing because it is so easy to fold compactly, but more importantly it automatically opens in the exact places to instantly become a full size pole. It only takes one small step to secure each section. Collapsing the pole is so easy too, and takes about 3 seconds which is very convenient when on trails and streams. The material seems very durable and strong enough for my use. I like the easy comfortable handle grip. The tip is strong and simple. Other poles just seemed way to complicated with their tips, where this is simple and strong and fits my needs. The only comment is that it does not really shorten in size. I think they should make it shorter and add height, rather than making is tall and reducing height, simply because it may be too tall for most women, and that it does not seem to shorten. I am pleased that this folds to fit in my small day pack so I don't have to have it open when I don't need it, but can reach for it to open when I do want to use it on sections of water crossings etc where I want the extra balance and support. This goes in my category of "Best Products Purchased" and well worth the price. Other poles may be better for serious hikers going log distances, but for day hikes this is fantastic.

Strong and portable
I have some leg/hip issues and need something to walk more normal. I am a big guy (270), wanted something strong, and didn't want to worry that friction clamps failing ... this is the answer I was looking for. Ditched the carry bag. The stick folds up and fits into the side pocket of a daypack or a cargo pocket of hiking pants/shorts. Pull it out, hold it by the handle, and it self assembles in a heart beat. The manufacturer confirmed that the steel tip is not replaceable, but the rubber cap works fine and there are lots of choices for cap replacements. I just flew to AZ (I do not have a doctor's note for it). When I got to the security checkpoint, I (in plain sight of TSA) folded it up, secured it to my daypack ... TSA didn't look twice at it.

Good Features - But Has Problems
I need stabilization when walking so bought this collapsible staff for use when traveling. It is pretty light (not the lightest I tried, but acceptable) and folds down very small - good for a small pack or glove box. However, it has 2 design flaws which made me return it. First, the hand grip is too small for my hands. I need size XL gloves and this seems to be designed for small Asian hands! That is a deal killer. Second, height adjustment is accomplished by depressing a spring loaded pin which is hard to press down. Once it's down, it's hard to get it to pop back up in the right place. If you set the height once and not use this feature again, it would be acceptable. But I like a longer staff for hiking and shorter one for walking on flat floors. It seems you get what you pay for, I also bought a "Dynamo Prime Stick" for $50 (I paid $23 for this one) and it has neither of these problems - but doesn't fold down.

Great Walking Pole - Dadas has excellent customer service
I have had one of these poles for 9 years and was thrilled to be able to by a second one from Dadas. I have MS and now require 2 walking poles. Benefits: - strong and durable - folds up small and can fit in a cross body purse - comes with a strap but I use a hair elastic as it is quicker - easily folds in half so it can sit next to me in the car, at a restaurant, on a plane - comes with a pointed and a standard walking tip but I have purchased other tips over the years to suit my various needs. - it is tall so i stand up straight when I use it. I call it "my stick" which worked better for me that cane when I had to start using it all of the time. - I wanted to fold it up smaller so I was able to substitute the hiking handle for a bike grip(purchased at dollar store) -After 9 years, several cruises, many flights and innumerable car rides, It was time to get a second stick - now I need two. my photos show the various ways this useful device makes my life so much easier.
