DEWALT 20V MAX* 7-1/4-Inch Miter Saw, Cordless (DCS361M1)

Have now used this on a number of projects. Fantastic so far. Only works with the 4AH batteries. If I had to pick on something it would be the clamp as flimsy but even it works ok. Saw itself is fantastic. Sightline mechanism is super clever.

Nice little saw at a phenomenal price. Allows me to cut 2x4 lumber and some trim at precise angles. Moreover, Amazon sells the version with the battery and charger for the same price that most stores sell you the bare unit. A very economical choice.

Contractor since 1985; retiring progressively as I finish renovating our own house. I'm into the Bosch, Dewalt, Makita for my main arsenal. Needed a portable Sliding miter saw. This one is a great second saw for portability on the four levels from attic to basement and into tight spaces. Absolutely no regrets. Hi highly recommend this, and all Dewalt products I have purchased so far. PROS: Value Portability: Balance OK - Weight OK Ergonomy Good Power / Battery Ratio CONS: Original blade gives rough edges: after a day I replaced it wit a 60T Diablo blade, and I'm happy. So Not really a Con of the tool itself, but a Dewalt courtesy failure. Note: Alignment off by 3 deg out of the box, but very easy to rectify: loosen the 3 screws holding the indented arced plate and move this plate slightly to align it with your square against the blade and the back fence. I highly recommend this tool, within the purpose of its designed qualities and limitations.

Item came right on time. Beautifully packaged. I was very impressed with the price and the quality of the saw. Much stronger than I expected for a battery operated model. I also love the light weight and portability. Highly recommended.

Not as precise as my corded dewalt chip saw with bevel and miter cuts but, this saw is light and easy to transport plus no cord needed makes it a decent trim saw. Don’t assume it’s accurate, check and make adjustments to dial it in. If you do buy this saw get an extra battery. With only one you have to wait for charging if it goes dead mid stream of work. It’s a good saw but it does have limitations. The blade is one of those. It can cut to a depth of about 2 3/4-3”. But if you have a standard skill saw it takes the same 7 1/4” blade.

This is easily one of my favorite tools! Safe to use and bevels and other movements are smooth and accurate. I love that it's battery powered AND lightweight - meaning I can throw it in my backseat and drive to a lumber store and, after obtaining the boards I want, measure and cut them down to size while still in the parking lot! No more leaving the lumber supplier, with several long boards protruding from my truck windows!
