Really nice eye liner, stays on all day, performs well. Wish they had more light brown shade. Washes off with soap and water don't need any special remover. Doesn't clump app!he evenly and smooth, is perfect size for travel. Very easy to use.

Product is a great size, easy to use and is a beautiful black eyeliner. I’ve used all kinds of eyeliner but the cake ones are the best in my opinion on ease of use and wearability. Doesn’t smudge at all. Highly recommend

I like the color, and it goes on smoothly. The downside to this that I haven't experienced with other cake eyeliners is that it sticks the eye boogies or something. Not sure how to describe it, but my eyes could have no eye boogers at all and then when I put this on, there are stringy eye clumps/boogies behind my lower lids and in the corners of my eyes. You can add more or less water to make it darker or lighter, which is good.

Updating my review. Someone had asked a while back if I had noticed any issues with flaking. I replied no, and now that I have used this several times, in several weather conditions I have had zero issues at all with this eyeliner. I have sensitive eyes, if there was any flaking at all, I would have noticed it by now. I have worn it in extremely hot, dry conditions as well as humid and muggy. No flakes, no running, stays where I put it with no issues whatsoever. I still love this as much as I did when I first tried it out.I was so excited this was coming today, practically ripped the box open with my teeth. Tried a little on my hand as you can see, this is exactly what I was looking for! I hate eyeliner pencils and forget about liquids, I am not skilled enough and end up looking a little Winehouse-y whenever I try them. Years ago I had a Chanel eyeliner that you wet and applied and I adored it. Unfortunately for me, my friend did too and it turned up missing. Several years ago I bought a wet and brush on eyeliner from Clinique that I have been using for years, which I liked better than my other options available at the time but I was finally coming to the end of its life. I decided to try to find something similar to what I'd had in the past and hoped this would be it.As soon as the drop of water touched the powder and it sunk in, I knew this was just like my old Chanel one. YAY! Happy day. I applied some to my hand and the color is rich and dark and just how I like it. After letting it dry, I rubbed on it to see if it would smear. No smear. I don't wear makeup every day, and if this is like what I had before it will probably last me a very long time. And it was so cute, the seller even wrote "Thank you" inside the box. No, thank YOU. You have made me a very happy girl. I may have to start wearing make up more often.

This does NOT work as an eyeliner. It does not stay on. It dries and flakes off. Made my eyelid itch. By a few hours, it completely disappears. Do NOT recommend.

Not really eye cake but just powder

I've used this for years as an eyeliner I apply dry with a liner brush at the very base of my lashes. I does not flake and stays in place until I remove my makeup in the evening. Had always used the black but, as I've aged, I've switched to the brown.

This is eyeliner deserves 5 stars. The powder blends easily with water enabling you to control intensity, consistency & transparency. I have very sensitive chronic dry eyes & allergies to many cosmetics (including hair products & detergents). I was therefore doubly delighted that I experienced no irritation. Being water soluble may seem to some a double edge sword- it makes it very easy to blend and also remove. Since it is dry & not waxy, skin heat it is less likely to melt & smear it. I also like to use an eyeliner fixative ex ., Jolie’s, & have found it’s still in place in the morning! I find the easiest way to work with it is as follows: Use the inside lid of container as a little blending palette. Transfer a tiny bit of water with an eyeliner brush, then use that brush to bring in the right amount of pigment. Adjust to Blend till desired texture & intensity achieved. Any excess can be allowed to dry & used the next time. Put on. I find eye pen & pencils much more challenging to use as their smooth continuity of application is affected by any bumps or imperfect terrain around the eyelashes. This requires I go back with a brush to fill in missed portion & smooth out areas which are too heavy in deposition. This is a “non issue” using cake liner & a quality brush. Bumps & imperfections seem to smoothly covered. I like to work from the highest intensity of color along the lash line, subtly lightening at the outside for a more subtle effect. Sometimes I will use another color also along the lash line- greens, purple & blues can be subtly blended in enhancing one’s natural eye color or whites of the eyes. When dried, I preserve my work with the eyeliner fixative. That being said, this particular color brown comes out having a rather noticeable orange undertone on my skin. I have a lot of gold undertones, so would probably do better with a true brown. It’s probably ideal for many & I’m able to offset it by working in another color as previously described.

EDIT: I tried ordering it again and it arrived okay. It’s a good cake eyeliner, I’m now using it since a lot of brands have discontinued their cake eyeliners.Previous review:The cakeliner arrived crushed into dust. Unusable.
