International Concepts Home Accents Unfinished 36" Single Jelly Cabinet

Overall I loved this cabinet and will be buying more products from international concepts. The wood is beautiful and the cabinet seems really sturdy. I left it the natural color and when the pics were taken I’d applied the first of 2 coats of polyacrylic. I changed the knob out to give it a little more character. The only thing that was a bit challenging in the assembly was getting the door lined up correctly, since I was by myself I propped the door on a pillow to get it to line up so I could screw the hinges to the cabinet. There is a slight splinter in the middle shelf because when I was screwing the back piece on the hole cut out was up too high and the screw splintered the top of the shelf. It’s very slight and not noticeable unless you know to look for it. Other than that the assembly was very straightforward, I took others’ in the review sections opinion and added some wood glue to the one piece that is just wooden dowels. I actually had ordered a sauder pressboard cabinet for this purpose initially and it was damaged in shipment so they emailed me and said they couldn’t replace it d/t back order so they were just going to refund me. Best screw up ever I ended up with a much higher quality cabinet and it was $40 cheaper.

We moved this year and do not have a lot of storage. I needed a cabinet to go in a specific spot. This cabinet is almost perfect. My only complaint is I needed a taller cabinet and had a hard time finding one. However, the rest of the measurements were perfect for the space. It was easy to put together and looks nice and expensive. It’s sturdy and holds my pantry items in my kitchen. I love that it is unfinished. I can leave it that way or paint it later. I’m considering purchasing another one.

I have bought a lot of their stuff lately. Tables, Desks, Chairs, Plant stands, Cabinets, Drawer chests, TV stands. It's honest, Well-made, Well design, Nice hardware.Easy To put together. Against several other things that they made them, And I'm bummed out that they discontinued themWindsor office chairs. The perwould is nice, The butcher block well-done, Nicely sanded. The drawer hardware is nice. , Can you send shelf clips are good quality. Everything is nicely packed. I have yet to have a single disappointment. If honest and well made and durable is your thing Road than fancyShiny finishes on on something that is going to fall apart year. The stuff is your ticket. For finishing if I wanted stained I use wWatco danish oil, Wait a week Three coats social act 1/2 half pound cut, Two coats of Minwax spray lacquer. San between coats. There's 3 3M Sponge sanding block for gratefulness. I want to clear finish I just eliminate what upthe Watco. Great stuff highly recommended

This Jelly Cabinet is an excellent product. It is strong, and we'll engineered. The pieces are cut, sanded, and machined to assemble perfectly. The cabinet can be stained and varnished. Or it can be painted. This cabinet is constructed of smaller pieces of wood with finger joints. At first I worried about all the joints accepting the stain differently. But I put on five light coats of two different stains and then three coats of varnish. The best way to do this cabinet is to get a scrap piece of pine and practice with your stains. I used three heavy coats of Minwax Cherry #235 stain to get the color of brown that I wanted. Then I added a little zip to the color with Minwax Sedona Red #222. When the color was the way I wanted it I sealed it with Spar urethane by Helmsman. I am so very pleased with how the cabinet turned out. Kris

I needed a small cupboard for my enclosed porch to hold bits of gardening and porch stuff that always produced clutter. This is a good, solid piece that will last. I did purchase a nicer knob to replace the plain wooden one supplied. Assembly was fairly easy although the pre-set marks for one set of hinges was off and I also did need a drill to attach the bottom screws for the back panel -- and a lot a patience with the supplied allen wrench. That gives it 4 stars rather than 5. This is my second IC piece. The first was a side table which also lives on the porch and is holding up nicely after 8 years. The character of this wood seems to make full drying time for paint longer than other woods. I did use a primer on this piece and that did seem to help.

Went together easily and quickly. When finished it is square and solid. The only problem I encountered is the back if very flimsy and does not slide all the way in correctly. I had to make minor adjustments in the screw placement in the back. Otherwise is very well made. Do yourself a favor and toss the hex allen wrench that comes with it a buy one with a regular screwdriver handle.
