Great meter if you're looking for overall glucose level; not for precise blood glucose levels.
I decided to give this blood glucose meter 5 stars instead of 4 stars after realizing the meter is accurate in giving the ballpark ranges that it was designed to give. I was at first looking for a meter that would give precise BG levels; if I did two tests in a row I expected to get the same number or only a few points variation. (I have done 3-4 tests in a row - same finger, same blood and same finger, different blood sample - and never got the same number once. I have gotten close and had 2 different readings in a row that were only 2-3 points off on multiple occasions, as well as readings that were up to 30 points difference) I was concerned about the readings that were up to 30 points off because with hypoglycemia, a reading of 90 or lower (although within normal range, for me, are the ranges where I start to experience severe hypoglycemic symptoms) is much different than only a 10 point difference of 100, where I feel a lot better. You can imagine my concern with feeling that these wide ranges from one reading to the next in a row, left me feeling confused on what to believe my BG was to the point that on a few occasions, although I was pleased with everything else - the meter being easy to read and seemed to work without a hitch, the slides seemed fine and the lancets and lancet device good setting range that worked for me so that it did not cause bruising or much pain when pricking myself - I considered asking for a replacement or going with a different meter altogether out of concern that the meter was defective. However - after 4 weeks of testing my blood glucose up to 8x a day (tracking up to 3 hours after every meal) I have noticed that the meter has a pattern in how it measures your sugar levels and does accurately pick up whether your blood sugar levels are within a range of low, medium or high. However, it will not necessarily give you a precise reading of exactly how high or low. I noticed this when first awakening before breakfast, my numbers can range from 80 to 99, but I noticed the range is never over 100. After I eat a low sugar meal, the ranges are always over 100 and under 150. And if my blood sugar is high (I can tell because of how different I feel compared to when I have low blood sugar) and when I get that feeling, the test reflects ranges that are much higher anywhere between 150 - 185. I have never eaten a high sugar meal and gotten a low range within the 80s, 90s or even low 100s. And I have never gotten a reading before breakfast that was 100+ or a random high 100s. So that alone alleviated my suspicions that the meter was inaccurate and confirmed that although not precise, it is sensitive enough to pick up low, medium and high levels of BG. And to add, with testing 3 consecutive hours out after eating, I noticed the numbers do decrease. Occassionally the 2nd hour meal will be a higher number than the first hour meal (presumably because the protein is spiking the sugar the 2nd hour out) but the 3rd hour always seems to be lower than the 2nd hour, so that decrease in blood sugar over time after eating to me means that the meter seems to be picking up on the changes in sugar levels. So, my takeaway is that this meter is accurate in picking up where abouts your blood sugar is based on varying low, medium and high ranges, but don't expect a precise measurement. To add, I happened to read the manual after seeing this trend (usually a good idea and answers your unknowns, right? lol) and it states why someone can test their blood sugar levels 2x and get a different reading, due to the different levels of sugar in the blood with each sample but the numbers of 130 and 150, still reflect that your blood sugar is on the higher side. This is the pattern I found to be true with my readings. So, although it is not as accurate as I wanted, once seeing the trend, I feel satisfied enough with the overall accuracy of this meter knowing that it will give me a ballpark idea of whether I am low or high without fail. If ballpark is what you're looking for, then this meter does the job every time. If you're looking for a precise measurement, though, this meter is not the one you're looking for.

Reliable
Bought this kit to check my blood sugar at home and it has been very helpful. Everything I needed was included in the box, so I could start using it right away. The instructions were easy to follow and setup did not take long. The meter is small and easy to carry. The readings come quickly and seem consistent each time I test. The lancets are fine and do not hurt much. The strips and supplies included are a good amount and last a while. It is also nice to have everything in one kit instead of buying items separately. Overall, this is a reliable and easy to use glucose monitor kit. It works well for daily testing.

Nice product at a good price
Nice glucose monitor. Easy to set up and use. Appears to be accurate and functions well. Date and time stamp feature easy to set up if you read the directions (which I don't like doing lol). My readings are usually 88-100 so a 98 reading seemed pretty accurate. Might have given it 5 stars but durability and longevity are unknown factors since I have only had it one day. Well worth buying if you want a nice inexpensive glucose monitor.

Great Product
First couple of reading were 10 percent different than my freestyle meter, but are almost the same now, I bought this as a backup and will be buying more strips in the future.

SO INACCURATE & DANGEROUS!!
I bought this because I failed my 1 hour glucose test for gestational diabetes by 1 pt & my midwife told me to track my glucose and food for a couple weeks, so I bought this. I eat the same meals every day pretty much, which I figured would also help me know which meals are “safe” and which spike my sugars too much. I’ve never had an issue with sugars or carbs and have always been incredibly healthy & eat extremely healthy so this was all new to me. One day I noticed my breakfast, which every previous day was around the same, but one day it was about 30 higher 🤔 So I decided to try testing multiple times after other meals, and sure enough within the same minute, one test would read 95, the next 165🫣 This would happen often, my results would differ by a lot constantly, just seconds apart. For someone trying to accurately track how my body processes different foods to keep myself and my unborn baby healthy, this is SO dangerous. I told my midwife I just wanted to come in an do the 3 hour test instead with the 100g glucose drink because I don’t trust the monitor, she agreed, since she knows how important carbs are while growing a baby. I took my glucose readings with this monitor within a minute of getting each of my blood drawn, and they were SO different… My ACTUAL glucose levels from the lab… Fasting 76 1hr 129 2hr 119 3hr 62 My monitor readings… Fasting 82 1 hr 165, 171 (tested twice) 2hr 144, 150 (tested twice) 3hr 114 As you can tell they are WAY off and my body NEEDED carbs and sugar after not having anything for 3 hours. I’m so glad I noticed things seemed off and got properly tested, otherwise I would have not been eating essential carbs that my body needed. It scares me that there are people who ACTUALLY have diabetes or need to keep their blood sugars in line who use this. Absolutely terrible device. 👎🏻👎🏻

Bargain on refill strips!
It's a little different than most other systems but works well. Prices reasonable and the refill strips are cheaper than anyone else.
