Has anyone tried this on a glass-top desk?

Installing on my Costco glass top stand up desk as I type. I didn’t like that the glass has a gap between it and the steel frame. Putting a clamp on that seems to be asking for trouble applying stress to a piece of glass. I have cut a 6” x 1.5” piece of wood that is just under 1/8” thick. It fits perfectly between glass and steel frame and should let you crank clamp and not worry about it.

How far forward over the desk from the wall do the monitors (24") have to be in order to be held side-by-side with no gap?

It's a trade-off based on height. The lower the monitors are the more over your desk-top they will be. The closer to the wall you have them the higher off your desk-top they will be.

What is the maximum vertical adjustment I have a 24 inch monitor and want a mount that I can adjust to be above that 24 inch monitor. Is this possible

Agree that the vertical height is not high enough and I'm fairly short. It needs at least two more inches in vertical height.

What is the widest that the clamp can open? I have a desk with a thickness >8 inches at the back.
