Delicious authentic mustard!
Let me first start off by saying that I am not a fan of mustard. We went to Germany 2 years ago and their mustard didn't look like our neon yellow mustard we have here in the states. I decided to try it and I immediately fell in love. The flavor is hard to describe but it's a lot more mild and less tangy than the American mustard and it's very smooth. I have been searching for a good German mustard since we left and this is it! It's well worth paying $10 a jar!

So much better than standard yellow mustard.
This is nothing like standard yellow mustard (not that there's anything wrong with that). It has such a different flavor and is great with anything, especially of coarse with pretzels.

This is what mustard is suppose to be!
I saw The Amazing Race and in Germany they had a mustard tasting challenge, they had nine types! So of course I went straight to Amazon to see what was available from Germany. I found this and read a comment that customer said it reminded him of the one he had growing up. It arrived today, happily in one piece. Amazon shipped the glass jar in an oversized box with no packing material? Thankfully intact, I opened it and tasted it, it is wunderbar! It’s very smooth, rich and very tasty. I highly recommend it, if French’s or Guldens were a five, Thomy Mittelscharfer Delikatess is a TEN!

I thought mustard is mustard, but the taste of this one is tops.

Be Ready!
The first time I had this was when I was stationed in Germany. I can recall just how good this was. I actually stumbled upon this one evening when I wa searching for mustards. I saw a picture of Thomy Mustard. I decided to take a chance and went ahead an ordered it. When it arrived I opened the box and yep, that’s the one. The biggest question at that time was would it taste like the mustard I experienced in Germany. We had brats on the grill that night. I put this mustard on my brat and WOW! Yes this was just that good and yes just as I remembered. It’s a hot mustard but not one that leaves you gulping down water or milk to neutralize the heat. It’s really worth your time to try this mustard out if you want to have a taste of real German mustard....

I added a touch of white wine vinegar
This is pretty good mustard a little mild for me but if you put this on your plate and add, maybe some Dijon to it it is perfect. I also tried adding white wine vinegar in a dish along with this mustard and it tasted good as well so you can always start with this as aBase and add more or less if you’d like. Great for kids that do not like like super strong acid mustard.
