Would this fit a large man (approx 275 lbs)?

Probably not. It fits my 180 lb husband alright but probably wouldn't be good for anyone much larger than that.

What is the maximum adult weight Classic and Watersport Classic vests will support. How does one measure accurately for your vests when ordering on ?

The ad for these said what the maximum weight was, which I believe was in the 300 to 350 lb range. You do not have to measure, buy the adult for adults. The straps are adjustable and will fit a very, very large person comfortably and a small one also quite easily. I like mine.
