Perfect fit for my 2009 SL
Easy and very satisfying fix. As someone suggested, easing the console door up to 90 degrees (past the stop) makes the install simple. Hardest thing was getting the c-clip back on without losing it.

Fit โ08 R230 SL500 perfectly
Fit perfect. Thank goodness for a youtube video showing the trick to compress the piston by using a rope when installing. Took me 30 minutes to replace in center console.

Perfect Fit - watch online vids for help to Install
Works perfectly. I replaced the hood and truck struts also. Online videos offered hints on installation.

Worked Perfectly, But Pricey!
Worked great. Unfortunately the only option (and expensive for what it is hence 4 stars) unless one wants to buy an alternative and modify it, or try and repair it. But great product otherwise!

Perfect fit
This fit perfectly in my 2009 SL550 center console. The OEM strut had lost its strength and this new one is taking its place. Installation is straight forward and can be done with few tools available in any household.
