Yourspares Stepdown voltage converter 240V - 120V 45W

Works fine. Can hear something rattling around inside it though.

This looks like a quality product and I only used it for small lights within a unit of furniture but it only worked once for about 45 minutes and it never worked again. It does say "one hour" on the back of it so I take it that means it will work for up to an hour and that is all. It was not expensive so not returning it or complaining to seller - could have been my misinterpretation. Going to get the unit rewired by an electrician and that will resolve the need for converters.

Does the job, works well

The step down voltage converter does not work for the rice cooker that we recently bought from Amazon which should not have been available in the UK as it is not suitable to our power supply

Just what I wanted and did the job.

Used for charging a 110v device off a 240v circuit.

Bought to let use driveway alert that required 120volt supply. It worked when I tried it out, but got very hot (supplying just 1 watt load). I removed the plugged in device and left it to cool down, but it just got hotter and hotter, leading me to assume it must be dangerously faulty. I've never before encountered a transformer that gets warm when under no load. I noted that several other reviews are very critical of the item for similar reasons, but foolishly decided to trust to luck that I might receive a decent one
