“Beware!... you could die laughing! This rarity – a sequel that’s better than the original... Make sure you see it.” – Alan Frank, Daily Star It’s love at first fright when Gomez (Raul Julia) and Morticia (Anjelica Huston) welcome a new addition to the Addams household ± Pubert, their soft, cuddly, mustachioed baby boy. As Fester (Christopher Lloyd) falls hard for voluptuous nanny Debbie Jilinsky (Joan Cusack), Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) discover she’s a black-widow murderess who plans to add Fester to her collection of dead husbands. The family’s future grows even bleaker when the no-good nanny marries Fester and has the kids shipped o to summer camp. But Wednesday still has a thing or two up her sleeve… With gags and ghouls galore, Addams Family Values is “quite brilliant...” (Julie Burchill, The Sunday Times) Review: Great movie - 🙂👍 Review: Great film. - Arrived in good time, well packaged and as described. Very Funny Film
Addams Family Values is the sequel to the underrated and underappreciated black comedy, The Addams Family. Released all the way back in 1993, this film saw the likes of Anjelica Huston, Raul Julia, Christopher Lloyd and Christina Ricci return to their roles. Once again, taking the classic Addams Family characters and making them their own. This follow up movie sees the family with a bit of a dilemma. Gomez and Morticia now have a new son (perfectly named) Pubert. This cute mustache equipped little sprog brings out the jealousy in the older children, Wednesday and Pugsley. This ends up with the tired parents bringing a nanny into the Addams household. After several failed attempts, they appear to find the perfect fit with the suspiciously sinister Debbie. Uncle Fester quickly becomes completely infatuated with the new nanny. It turns out she isn't as she seems and is in fact a serial killing gold digger. To go through with her scheme, she has the kids sent off to a summer activities camp and marries Fester. The result is the return of some of the best family friendly dark humour and some of the most underappreciated forgotten comedy scenes of the '90s. Addams Family Values retains that look and style of the first. It feels like an extension on the original movie and works very well as a proper sequel. The money grabbing story line might feel a little cliché and repetitive for some but works as an overall arc. Some could very well consider the film more of the same and a bit repetitive. That is a bit understandable if you look and care about the plot a bit too much. The real charm and quality of the movie is the overall silliness of the humour and scenarios that play out. The dark humour is very much alive and well in this film. The big standouts are of course the hilarious scene stealing moments with Ricci. But there's so many little details that can be easily glossed over if you're not paying attention. These little details can be absolutely hilarious when you first notice them. One of my favourites being Pugsley very subtly hanging himself in the background shortly after arriving at camp. This is the first time that Addams Family Values has been released on bluray and to say it left a lot to be desired is an understatement. The first film got away without any real issues, but had clear room for improvement. This print as a whole needs more work done. There are clear colouring issues through the film. Some scenes have way to much red and others are so yellow that you'd think some of the characters were suffering from jaundice. These issues don't really show up until the last 1/3 of the movie or so but it can be a little off putting. Despite these issues, it's still a sharper looking copy than the old DVD I have. I'm happy to see the film is back in circulation, it's just a shame not much work was put into it. If you're a fan of the Addams Family or have a bit of a warped sense of humour, this is a great fun film to have and I would recommend picking it up. If you can find the twin pack with the first film, even better.

It was an OK watch. Not as funny as I expected, and I probably won't watch again for a long time. I am glad i bought it.

I love this movie!
I am kind of old school about having Blu-rays and DVDs. I must have over two hundred now. Sometimes it's nice to have a pizza and movie night without being on cable. No commercials is one feature I like. This is such a wacky story. The members of the odd Addams Family are up to more macabre antics in this sequel. This time around, Gomez Addams (Raul Julia) and his wife, Morticia (Anjelica Huston), are celebrating the arrival of a baby boy. But siblings Wednesday (Christina Ricci) and Pugsley (Jimmy Workman) are none too happy about the new addition, and try their best to eliminate the infant. When nanny Debbie Jelinsky (Joan Cusack) appears to keep the kids in line, she uses her wiles to separate Uncle Fester from the family. Very fun dialogue. Makes me laugh every time I watch it.

J'ai reçu l'article avec le carton déchiré... je ne pense pas que ce soit un problème de transport, un article se déchire pas comme cela dans un carton, il ne faut pas envoyer des articles comme cela.
