Everyone is saying that products manufactured in China are terrible. Somebody please fill me in, was is this a worry?

China has manufactured dog food that killed dogs, baby formula that killed babies... Those are very serious, but there are many more examples of the Chinese marketing products that do not contain what is on the label. They do not have a good reputation for producing safe food and drug products. We avoid these products from China. A cheaper price is not worth the risk. I wish NOW would disclose in the product images and description where it comes from.

What are the other sources of inulin other than chicory roots?

Evidently, a lot of plants produce inulin - wheat, bananas, onions - according to wikipedia, more than 36,000 plants make inulin. Chicory, agave and jicama produce more than most plants. Hope this helps.

It is from the blue agave plant. There are no other ingredients. My digestion has been much improved using this product with coffee in the morning and taking a fiber supplement and/or eating more vegies later in the day.

Two reviewers state this product is Made in China. The picture of the bottle says Made in the USA. Which is it?

Just received this today, 01/22/2015 and the package says, "Product of China". "Packaged in the USA". I called Amazon, got a full refund and tossed the bottle in the trash!!!
