Asphaltum artist oil paint
Very good paint. I wanted to try it because of it's nostalgic history, (late 18th century). I wasn't disappointed. It is a neutral, very dark brownish, black.

As title says, a mix of two colors that gives you a burnt umber but transparent

Great quality for price
Asphaltum is a transparent dark rendering soft shadows easier to create. Another great pigment from Gamblin. It comes out a little oily but that is expected with a more transparent pigment. I love it for under painting too.
