I was very impressed with Starwest Botanicals Organic Hawthorn Berries. The packaging was superb and Not only are you getting a quality healthy product at a great price, but the berries themselves are a good size and for the price is a much better savings than if you buy some of the other brands Hawthorn Berry Teas in the tea bags. These have a much better smell and after steeping a much better taste than most of the tea bag brands. Plus you can add whatever other herbs with these and steep the amount for the strength you want. I also ordered some dried cut and sifted Hibiscus Flowers to go along with my Hawthorn Berries. Steep both and add some light Agave for sweetener and it makes a great tea. Plus you are getting the benefits for your heart and blood pressure.

I use these berries for making herbal tea or I grind them up and put them in smoothies.Hawthorne berries are great for lowering the blood pressure and I was surprised to find that I have only been taking them for a short time and they have already lowered my borderline high BP to low/normal BP. It is also very economical to buy them in bulk like this and make your own tea, smoothies, or capsules rather than buying them already made.

Although Hawthorn works well for BP, etc. These were almost impossible to grind into a powder (and I tried everything - Ninja blender cup & big container, coffee grinder, mortar & pestle. OK if you're going to steep for a tea or in your coffee grounds. I ended up using these in my coffee French press to steep. Then I ordered the powder for all future use so I can steep or just stir in.

I received it yesterday, opened the bag to find very clean berries. I was worried seein other reviews if I wud get molded ones. Thankfully not! Yet to experiment the taste however. Will surely update my review if its worth the purchase. As of now, a happy customer!

I bought these because I'd heard they're good for helping to control blood pressure problems. They seem to be working my BP is now down to a healthy level. I am on a low dose BP tablet and I've been having about 3 cups of tea made with these berries and green tea every day. I wasn't sure if my healthier BP was just down to the tablets or if the berries were actually making a difference so I tried a week without the berries and just took the tablets my BP went up although not as high as it had originally been. I started taking the tea again and within a week it's now back to a normal healthy level.

second time I tried to write a review with this faulty Amazon.ca harassing me. Anyways, this is a good product; I tried to cancel but I was lucky I couldn't because it seems of a good quality like all starwest botanicals products. No mold.
