Roll the dice!
Without disclosing my background, I feel more than qualified to write a review for these. That being said... They work. Very well. The router I placed these on needed six of them. The stock ones broke, and I decided to take a chance on upgrading, instead of just replacing. Of the places in my home that were dead spots, usually behind a thick wall or metal, about 80% now have a signal, and in most cases, a pretty good signal at that. They're not magic, and they're not perfect. They do feel like they're magic though ๐ The signal also went much further. Almost double. I would estimate 25 yards minimum. However, for security reasons I would not recommend these for everybody, as you would not want to overbroadcast. For me, it's practically a necessity. If you have ever bought aftermarket antennas for a router, then you probably know it's 50/50 if they work at all, let alone work better than the OEM. We considered a range extender, but have had mixed results for various reasons. We considered a mesh network, but didn't really see the point in buying a new router, especially when Wi-Fi 7 is about to drop. The router was fine, the antennas were broke. The cheapest first step was to replace them with OEM, but decided to roll the dice and go for these as an upgrade instead. The bet paid off. These were everything I dared not hope for. I would definitely look here first in the future. I don't know if they'd work with all/your routers, or if I got all the luck, but they were a nice tight fit, I'd say even better than OEM. They don't flop around despite their size, and while I didn't open one up, it seems like they're legit and durable. In short, if Chuck Norris needed replacement antennas for his router, these are probably the ones I would recommend ๐

More range!
Ok, so I guess it was the dogs having to reboot the router often, but some how, my four antenna Netgear router ended up with just two antennas that were not broken or limp and dangling. Not only was this visually distrubing the dogs had lost a couple of the best ways for them to grip the router if they needed to unplug it (Im not certain how they plug it back in). Incidentally the missing and broken antennas also seemed to reduce the range and connection quality,which made some of the house humans sad too. So I figured I would replace them, and these were an option with higher gain than the stock ones and earlier delivery than what I could find on an auction site. They arrived quickly and with the dogs help I was able to replace the broken antenna and one other one just for good measure. While I didnt do any actually value testing, I no longer get dropped connections in some spots around the homestead. They did what I expected them to do. They were easy to install. They got here quickly. All win.

YMMV - For me I gained one bar...
To make this review more useful (hate when people review w/o mentioning the equipment used), I put these on a ASUS RT-N66R router. The router as originally configured provides great signal throughout my house. However, in my attached garage, I have two wifi garage door openers. The closest one to the router always had an excellent signal, the other one a good signal. In addition I have a wifi garage door opener in a detached garage about 10 feet from the end of the attached garage. That opener usually would show a weak signal. After installing these antennas, both garage door openers in the attached garage show an excellent signal and the opener in the detached garage shows a fair signal. That is a marginal gain of course but clearly improved signal in my application.

Failed to boost signal for 2.4ghz
Attempt to use these to boost signal on 2.4ghz radio and it failed miserably. I reinstall tye factory antennas and signals were much stronger. For me, these were a waste of money as these didnt boost the 2.4 ghz signal. Unfortunately, its past my window for returns.

Probably 6 to 8dBi, not 10, small boost
Probably around 6 to 8dBi, not 10dbi as advertised. I put up an old Netgear R7000 in my shop setup to relay the 2.4Ghz WIFI from the house to 5Ghz for inside the metal shop. I replaced the firmware with open source FreshTomato since the default Netgear doesn't have this relay option, plus FT has a lot more options like built in VPN support, etc. After replacing the stock R7000 antennas of all the best orientations I could only get about a +2 dB improvement. Which is not bad, but per the math of going from the stock ~5dBi to the ~10dBi antennas I could have gotten closer to +5 dB. Note of how these 3x MIMO config antennas work, the recommended orientation is for the center antenna to be vertical (straight up), while the side ones should be at at a 45ยฐ from the base (like half folded wings). But using the RSSI (Received Signal Strength Indicator) reading on your router try all three configurations: 1) All three vertical/up. 2) Center vertical/up, and the right and left ones at 45ยฐ from the base. 3) Center vertical/up, and the right and left ones at 90ยฐ from the base. In my situation the best result for the smaller stock 5dBi antennas was the 45ยฐ config, but for this "10dBi" one the best was 90ยฐ config (to get the +2 dB improvement). Note the smaller stock antenna have more of a spherical radiation pattern, where the longer antennas have more of a donut shape. And general there are a lot of factors that determine the quality, the positioning, if the WIFI signal has to go through walls, etc. The smaller the RSSI the number the better, where -30 dBm to -50 dBm is considered excellent. I only got around 59 dBm to my shop which is still considered decent. Based on a rough +2 dB RSSI improvement, the math indicates the long antennas are most likely around 6โ8 dBi actual gain (not the claimed 10 dBi). Significantly overstated by the manufacture. Final note: I just used the FreshTomato summary page for the reading, didn't use an RFI field strength meter which admittedly would probably give more accurate results. Also I used a Windows 11 API to read the 5Ghz power on the computer side. In the end though not bad, fine if you need replacements, but might not be worth getting if you think you will get a significant boost. You are not getting the theoretical +5 dB that you should be getting for a ~15" stated 10dbi antenna.

They work
Itโs a big antenna so be prepared to help stabilize the antenna with anything if itโs outside. That or flip the antenna upside down. I notice just enough difference on wireless cameras with these vs the stock antenna. Just enough to get ya some signal for programming at a long distance. Iโve also put these on a Netgear access point with detachable antennas for a bigger boost. Itโs not a huge gain but definitely helps.

Impressive boost in signal
I have a Ctronics NVR with four wireless video cameras. The lag in connection was pronounced with as much as a 45 second delay on two of my cameras. I watch the time shown which shows the differentiation in signal. I removed and replaced the stock Antenna with these 10 dbi Antennas and now there is no lag and the times match on my NVR while watching. Impressive upgrade. I guess everyone has different needs and opinions about how these Antennas work with there environment. Here it is an A+.

Great to extend the range on a remote Wi-Fi IOT device
We needed to extend the range of an IOT device from the access point. Using this 10 dBi antenna did increase the signal by 5 dBi over the OEM antenna. Make sure you verify the connector because you may need to buy an adapter to get the correct connection to the device.

Better than expected
I wasn't expecting a great deal to be honest, but the appliance with weakest signal now gets an extra bar on its WiFi, so pleasantly surprised about that. Seems to work better with 2g network, no much difference to 5g signal.

Replaced the antenna of the existing router and used networking for usb. It is clear that the signal distance have been extended, and it is felt that the network environment has improved.
