This is a counter flow or shell in tube copper chiller. The beer passes either with gravity or with a pump through the 3/8" in one direction and cold water passes in the reverse direction. In this manner the water is constantly cooling the wort as it runs through the chiller. Because the 3/8" copper is smooth without any kinks or sharp turns the chiller will not clog like a plate chiller can. Ideal for large and small batch brewing. There are no compression fittings on this counter flow chiller. Other counter flow chillers use compression fittings that will leak over time with use. The Quick Chill counter flow connections will not leak. The coil is approximately 9 inches tall and the diameter is 10 inches. The copper coil is made in the USA with USA copper.
