How deep in the cabinet?

First, you need to define what you mean by “deep”. For me this is the distance from the frame that will sit against the wall and the back of the unit. In other word, how “deep” will it protrude into the wall. This is the essential question for someone replacing a unit of an old house who needs to know how “deep” the rough opening needs to be. The answer is just shy of 3” (2 15/16”), so you should be good if you have an opening with a 3” depth. I don’t know why manufactures can’t be clear about these critical dimensions.

Does this come with hardware to surface mount, and if not what do you need to mount to drywall?

It is also a surface or recess mount cabinet; mounting hardware is not included. Is this without a frame on the glass? Pictures show a metal frame; but it says frameless
