I am not a shaper girl. AT ALL. I find them to be uncomfortable, pinching, binding, and just all around...yucky. I have never understood how women wear shaperwear on a daily basis - especially laying shapewear. I've always thought those women were CRAZY. I recently had stomach and upper thigh surgery and had to wear a medical garment for a few days, then strong shapewear for a few weeks post-op. Since I don't ever wear shapewear, I didn't really know what to order. I wanted something that was strong and held me in, but wasn't really uncomfortable. Was it possible to find such shapewear? I didn't know - so I ordered several different items from a few different companies. I wasn't sure what to expect, but anxiously awaited the arrival of the shapewear. This one arrived quickly. Out of the maybe six different pieces I ordered, this is my third favorite. (My absolute favorite? http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00EVOO5RA?psc=1&redirect=true&ref_=oh_aui_detailpage_o04_s00) I have worn these layered over my favorite shapewear, because I feel neither holds me in to the level I require at this point. (This will change once I recover from surgery - I feel either of these will be sufficient.) This one doesn't bind, pinch, or hurt anywhere. It does provide shaping, but nothing super or amazing. After spending some time actually wearing this piece, I would definitely recommend it - it isn't anywhere near as horrid as the ones in the past that I couldn't stand. I also see major changes in how I fit under my clothes - everything just looks so much better! And I'm not only talking about dresses and skirts - I have also worn these under t-shirts and long shorts, and EVERYTHING looks better. Gone are the bulges and lumps. My t-shirts no longer kind of show my stomach - there is no stomach to be seen! I look much better and, if it makes sense, fluid. I can get into pants that are a full TWO sizes smaller than what I normally wear. (I know - I was shocked, too!) And I'm not hanging over the smaller size - they actually fit. I truly recommend this. It's comfortable and I feel sexy wearing it. This Bali's Women's Shapewear Cool Comfort Hi-Waist Thigh Slimmer is surprisingly comfortable. I am happy to report that I have not one single issue with the top rolling down, or the legs rolling up. There is a band of stitching that goes around the legs, which helps to keep them where they belong on your legs. I also don't have any issues with skin? fat? cellulite? whatever springing from the bottom of the legs. Few things are more attractive than your skin (or whatever it is) plopping out from the edges of your shapewear. It's almost like your body hates the shapewear so much, it's trying to escape! One quick thing I learned throughout this process (remember, I knew NOTHING about shapewear when I started my hunt): It is better to get a size larger, than a size smaller. Shapewear experts and occasional wearers alike told me the same thing. I previously thought a smaller size would make you even smaller - WRONG! If you are questioning your size, get the larger one. It will fit better, it will look better, and you'll be much happier. Something I've kind of learned throughout this process: Yes, they are hard to get on. If you are struggling and pulling, that's ok. If you are sweating, pushing, poking, shoving, and out of breath by the time they are on, you have a size that is probably too small. At least in this style. (I guess boned garments may be a little different.) If your body is "plumping" out/over the shaper, it's most likely too small. It should be some work to get this on - it's a shaper that is supposed to fit like a second skin, after all. However, I learned that the struggle shouldn't be extreme. Just a little piece of information I wanted to include for those who know nothing about this stuff, which is how I was at the beginning of my search. Bottom Line: LOVE IT! Out of the five (or so) shapers I bought - all the same style with the shorts built in, this is my third favorite. I purchased about five styles from different companies here on Amazon, then another one from the very popular shapewear company that starts with an "S" and rhymes with "banks". (And was at least twice as expensive as the shapers I purchased here.) Including that pair in my observations as well, this STILL ranks as my third favorite pair. My first two faves are from Maidenform, but this is the best Bali shaper I've worn. It goes all the way up to my bra, eliminating any sort of muffin top. Due to the bottom of the shaper being shorts, there are no panty lines, either. I give this garment a strong B, maybe B+. If you don't like feeling like a stuffed sausage, but need mid-torso coverage, this may well be the shaper for you!

~I had the HARDEST time figuring out what size to order, so I am going to give you my size to see if that helps anyone! ~Measurements needed for this Bali shape wear- mine are 30" waist, 40" hips. 158 pounds- 5'7". ~I Ordered a MEDIUM. I almost ordered a large and that would not have given me the desired shape wear I needed. ~~Putting these on are a bit tough going at first- not bad- but if you have arthritis, muscle problems, I would take it slow-but once you get these over your hips-easy peasy! ~I ordered for my hip size and that is what I would recommend. ~I was shocked to see that these did not make my 'fat' more pronounced in the legs, they laid flat! ~They DO roll a TINY TINY bit, but for the most part the band is nice and thick and sticks to the waist very well. ~These are a medium/firm hold. ~I really like how they made my clothes-dress,skirts fit- BUT..... ***the one problem I had and have with most of these type of bottom shape wear is the butt area!.... they NEED to be gusseted-in BETWEEN... the legs! Because if there is no gusset, your pants and jeans look ridiculous! They do not look natural, and EVERYONE can tell you are wearing a 'girdle'! lol But seriously, I will not wear these with slacks or jeans because of that reason. I think I have ONE pair of shape wear that has a gusset.... ***These did stretch a little after wearing for a few hours, so definitely order hip size!

I have decided to write reviews of items I have purchased. It is not only important how it is packaged, or if it arrives on time, or if it is priced well. Each of these is important, but quality and longevity are also important. So I will be writing reviews of items I have purchased to attest to each of these factors. So as I recall this item arrive as expected and was packaged well other wise I would have complained. The fit was just what I wanted firm and comfortable. I had originally purchased a larger size but decided to get a medium for more firmness. The high waist never rolled down and the mid-calf support was firm and comfortable. I washed it by hand because that is recommended to extend the life of all undergarments, however what I have noticed in each garment made by the same company it has given away. In other words, the firmness of the medium is loose like the large was initially and the large just serves as an undergarment with no support. The seams are still in place they were sewn, unlike Spanx who glue their panel on and it came loose within a month and I paid 3 times the money for that product. Spanx isn't worth it and even though the firmness has given away on this shapewear I would recommend Bali before Spanx just a smaller size for me. So that is why it gets 3 stars the firmness is lost within 6 months but the seams are still in place so don't expect it to last a year. But for the money I will buy it again now I know what to expect.

Ok. This product is great. The material is EXACTLY what I was looking for. It really seamlessly covers my rolls and muffin top. I really really feel confident in it. It does not roll down. And the legs kind of ride up from time to time. But I'm also the largest size, so I can't really say that itd happen for everyone. Now the down side, you can certainly see it thru leggings. Which made insecurities rise in a DIFFERENT area. .I'm insecure with my belly. With this on, I'm insecure about my thighs. You can see where it ends and sometimes if it rides up, my legs get muffin tippy. So im not 100% happy. But I have order sooo many shapewears and been so unhappy with the got on my stomach or hips. And this product just REALLY made me love wearing my tight shirts again .... So perhaps I will try to cut it into a thong piece. Idk... I say buy it and try it. But beware, it isn't perfect. But if you do buy shapewear, you know how hard it is to truly find a perfect one.

I have tried many, many, many shapers, and for one reason or another, they are all flawed. I have bought different brands and price ranges in search of the right one. Here are my thoughts about this one. This Bali shaper is smooth, comfortable, sturdy. It hasn't moved, ridden up, rolled down at all. I am amazed! My 13 year old son asked me if I lost weight! It fits beautifully. Now, my size and shape: I am a pear, consistently a size 16W, and I weigh around 230 lbs. I ordered an XL. It fits great. Now having said that, I did try two other Bali shapers, one was a little more expensive than this one, same size, and I just didn't want to fight with it to get it on. It was really tight everywhere. I got it half way up and quit. I am returning tomorrow. Another Bali shaper I bought last year is smooth and comfortable, but it doesn't hold me in place, and I realized that it is a size bigger-a 2X same shaper, but a size too large. I guess what I'm saying is that you need to find the right one for you, and your body type. That's why I gave my personal info. This one works for me, I am ordering two more. It holds me in place comfortably, smooths out my lumps and bumps, and I can breathe and move in it. Hope this helps.

I wear dresses nearly everyday and like to have a bit of a control top to hold together the jiggle while also avoid thigh chaffing. I've been a Spanx fan for a very long time. I paid a premium for what I felt was a premium product. Specifically I loved their "higher power" shapping panty for ages. I could wash and wear the same item for several years before needing to buy new ones. Then they decided to "improve" this product by making it in a different material and it would not last one wear without getting holes.. So I had to begin a hunt for a replacement. I've tried a few other brands but struggled to find something that provided a bit of control without feeling strangled and didn't roll down. Thankfully I took a chance on these and have found a great replacement for LESS than half the cost. As for long term durability, it's too soon to say but I'm very pleased with the material (its smooth and doesn't create static cling), its staying power (despite not having a rubber waist to stick to your skin, it stays up nicely) and the gentle shaping effect to hold everything in. The only negative is that it does run a tiny bit smaller than usual so if you are not sure of your size, size up.

I was a bit skeptical about ordering these based on some of the reviews I read; however, I took a chance and I was very pleased with my choice. I wear size 10 or some 12s depending on the maker of the dress. Pant size is 8 - 10. I purchased a Large and they fit snug enough not to roll up my thighs and loose enough that it does not pull me in tightly. I like my shapewear to fit like normal underwear and not like a girdle. I just like looking smoothed out in my dresses with no panty lines. These do the trick! By the end of the day, I’m not feeling like a pork sausage popping out of my skin. 🤣 And I’m comfortable throughout the day. They also do not bunch up on the waist or roll over/down the waist. I don’t have to tug on them at all. 🙌🏽 I’ll be purchasing more of these, if they keep them. That’s the hard part; finding the same underwear that you love at a later date. But for now, these are keepers!

Initially they worked well and tucked in the tum a bit. However, after 1 month, it's started freying and thinning at the seams.

I ordered this basis review and feedback but it is not at all upto the mark. Not giving shape and control to the belly. I bought this to wear under one piece dress but my lower tummy was pepping out and I have to drop the idea of wearing dress. The length is also too long. Is coming upto knee. Should not buy at all if you're looking for body shaping

I bought this shapewear knowing it would be smaller than my size since they don’t have my size. To my surprise even though it was a tad bit too small, I was able to fit in it smoothly and no it did not roll down at all. I didn’t feel hot in at all. It took care of my disproportioned bulges in my hip area. It did well for 12 hours. It was a little tight on my bra line area but not enough for me to be too uncomfortable. I am 5’1” and about 220lbs and this sharpe did well. I have tried others in the past and they were so damn stiff that It was so hard to even put on and not roll down. This shapewear is definitely different. I LOVE it. Would definitely recommend it.

I am 73kg and 1.53m and I got the L size that fits perfectly. It doesn't roll down and the material is fresh. It's not miraculous to not show my belly but it helps
