There was an issue with the knife when I got it. It was nothing that happened when manufactured. . It must have happened in storage or shipping. Had tarnish on tip of blade and brass buttons on case. . I contacted the company who makes them and they asked for pictures. I sent them the pictures and they apologized and mailed me a new knife which arrived a couple days later. Now that’s customer service. The knife is the most beautiful knife I’ve ever owned and feels comfortable in my large hand. The blade and walnut stock are beautiful and perfectly made. No blemishes, dents, misshapen etc. I’m very happy. Update august 2023. This company stands behind their product and doesn’t give you the run around. You can buy more expensive and cheaper knives. For what you pay these knifes are very nice and them answering their emails quickly and coming through for me means a lot. That doesn’t happen much anymore. Buy the knife people. This is a good company

I purchased 7 different bobcat knives for wedding party gifts and im very happy with what I got! Beautiful knives, beautiful sheaths. They were all packaged with great care and came well oiled. Blades were even razor sharp! I just ordered another and highly recommend these knives to anyone. Great value for sure!!!

I bought this for my nephew for Christmas. It's so pretty, the weight felt good in my hands. I'm not a hunter so I would have no use for it but it's a nice knife. Even if you didn't hunt, if a someone you know collects knives, this may he a good one to add to the collection.

Whoever made this knife used the crappiest metal ever. The knife rusted very quickly and didn't stay sharp. The design was nice and while it lasted. A bit on the heavier end and made for bigger hands. The grip was non existent as it's wood. This would been proper more for a display piece than to actually use it. For the price vs poor quality I wouldn't recommend this to anyone.

The sheath is outstanding. It’s worth what the whole knife sells for to me. However, despite the very good craftsmanship of the knife, it had two flaws that I could not live with so I’m having it replaced. One was the handguard had a hole in it like a casting flaw and second the Damascus steel was delaminating close to the front edge of the knife. I returned this knife and requested another. It came in a few days and it is magnificent. Not one defect to be found. It’s not only well made out of very high quality materials, it’s a beautiful knife and extremely well designed. It’s a pleasure to just hold it and admire it! I’m a satisfied customer. And also thank you Amazon for the return policy and method. It was a great experience. 😎

Very nice packed very very well but not sharp at all

I love this knife. Always wanted a Damascus blade but not willing to pay over a hundred dollars for one. I would give the overall quality a 8.5 or 9. Some minor imperfections but still very nice. Balance is good. It did need some minor sharpening out of the box. Speaking of the box, extremely well packaged for shipping. The leather sheath is nicer than expected.

This is my 3rd Bobcat knife purchase on Amazon and, like my two previous purchases, it is amazingly beautiful when considering the price paid. Being curious, and wondering where a quality $50 knife came from, I did a bit of research (thank God for the Internet). Turns out that the Bobcat knife line is being manufactured by Black Mamba Knives in Mundelein, Ill. I contacted Black Mamba and they were more than forthcoming about their blades. Nine layers of steel, folded five times in order to produce their damascus. Where do those nine layers of steel come from? All over. Some US, some Japanese, some European and some, without doubt, from China. That is what it takes to produce damascus, a variety of steels. Bottom line, these Bobcat blades are (according to Black Mamba Knife Co.) hand forged, using a variety of steels, here in the US.

Vet inte om kniven är handgjort pga att bladet är sne och verkar inte heller vara riktiga Damaskus mönster från kniven utan verkar vara färg eftersom det fattas på vissa ställen. Skaffat har sprick med lätt att komma in vatten.

Dieses Messer ist seinen Preis wert. Es ist handgeschmiedet, liegt sehr gut in der Hand und ist super scharf. Es besteht aus Damaststahl und ist in mehreren Lagen handgeschmiedet. Dazu gibt es ein Zertifikat der Firma. Das Messer ist in einer Scheide aus echtem Leder. Die Befestigung mit dem Drucknopf würde ich persönlich weiter oben und etwas enger anbringen, aber das ist Geschmackssache und kann mit etwas Geschick selbt erledigt werden.
