Next best thing!
I use these in a DeLonghi Espresso machine to save time and mess. To my mind next best thing to freshly ground beans. Fairly strong and very straightforward to use.

Great flavour, economical, no mess.
I'm a recent convert to the joys of an espresso machine. I love good coffee but find using ground coffee in the machine a bit messy in the kitchen. I decided to try these ese pods. They are perfect for me. No measuring, no mess and they go in the compost. Before purchase I looked at some reviews, Black Donkey came out with top marks in one of the newspapers. I have tried some very expensive high end pods but I can taste little difference to these.

Not good
I am disappointed as 50% of all the pods I have opened is not brewing coffee. Water going through them and coffee doesn't brew(water is clear in colour or barely tinted) I don't know what is wrong with them as some brew just normal. I wouldn't recommend those pods to anybody.

Rapid delivery and Good taste
These are exactly what I wanted to fit my ese espresso machine. The flavour is strong and pleasant, easy to use and dispose of the pods.

Excellent value but most of all a delicious and authentic taste of Italy
We decided on Black Donkey see pods having tried others on the market. Originally, we chose the mixed option and quickly decided that the intenso variety fitted our requirements perfectly. The flavour is enhanced by subtle aromas and one can quite easily imagine yourself sitting in an italian street cafe. The pods are very good value for money and having reordered several time, the service received has been quick and efficient.

Awful coffee .
I ordered the Intenso. Red sachet . The coffee is bitter and weak. Extremely disappointed.
