Razor Scooter Replacement Wheels Set with Bearings

We bought these replacement wheels & they fit perfectly! The scooter rides better & looks great.

My 8 yr old son loves his scooter again. The rear wheel on his original scooter was so worn out from using the brake that it was making a noise every time he used it. I decided it was time to replace his wheels. These wheels worked great and come with their own bearings (so you do not have to reuse the old bearings). I believe the bearings are rated ABEC 5 (though I cannot be 100% certain). ABEC 5 are what are found on most skateboards and scooters in the US. Some models from China are rated ABEC 3 which are to be avoided. These wheels roll about the same as the original razor wheels, which is why I'm inclined to believe they are ABEC 5. Overall, I am very satisfied with these new wheels.

It fits the old school scooter that I have just fine. Swapping them out was no problem. Biggest difference I noticed was the amount of actual polyurethane that the wheel has decreased a ton. Not that that part matters too much. If you wore down your wheel that much you’d be scraping the ground everywhere anyways.

These fit our razor scooter perfectly and are working well. However, my son does say that they seem to be more slippery when he rides it after the rain. With that said, his old wheels were pretty rough, so maybe that provided more tread. I don't know!

I bought these wheels to upgrade a three-wheeled Razor scooter that I found for my five-year-old granddaughter at a yard sale. I had read reviews of the scooter itself that said it was very frustrating because it was impossible for a child to get any speed on it. I had noticed that same problem with the scooter when my neighbor's son tried to ride it. One reviewer stated that he had fixed the problem by buying wheels with bearings. I decided to try that myself using these wheels. The installation was easy and I noticed immediately how much more smoothly the scooter rode. My granddaughter loves the scooter and is able to go pretty fast thanks to these wheels. Just as a note: my granddaughter only weighs 35 pounds, so she is not putting any undue pressure on the wheels or the scooter. Thanks to these wheels, I was able to get her a Razor scooter that she actually enjoys and can balance on for a very reasonable price.

...what else would a parent want ?! This is a long term review as these were bought May 2017 and used dozens upon dozens upon dozens of times the past 3 summers. Like anyone else looking for this type of item, their kids scooter needs new wheels, be it a bearing failure, flat spots on the wheels due to skidding excessively or just basic wheel failure. The issue with our original wheels is that the bearings were seizing up and the scooter did not roll properly. Since we've been purchasing more and more via Amazon especially since we have their Prime service I wanted to find and purchase replacement wheels here. A quick search lead to this listing titled " Razor Scooter Replacement Wheels Set with Bearings " who could go wrong with that. The color was approved by my boy and I approved the price. ( we got 2 sets ) They arrived quickly and after inspecting the packaging with everything being fine and proper I was quick to get to work. I used the standard hex to undo the originals and installed the new wheels. Done. Each wheel literally took only seconds to swap out. With three summers, soon to be a 4th on these wheels both me and my boy are extremely impressed. These are BETTER than the originals ! Yes I will gladly say that as these have not worn down excessively as the original Razor wheels wore down. The bearing on these replacement wheels are also better quality IMO as they have kept out water and grit unlike the originals. ( why we needed to get replacement wheels in the first place ) TIP ► These are not just limited to Razor brand as these are standard size across many different scooters brands. TIP ► Some people say they cannot remove the hex bolts as they are seized, if that is the case then use a penetrating oil spray, let sit for a few minutes and proceed. Decided to get my old Dunlop scooter up and running for the kids to use. Replacing the old tires with these new ones was a breeze and they work like a charm. Definitely a solid replacement part and for a fair price to boot!
