Great for experimenters!
This IC assortment is great for electronic experimenters with emphasis on audio. Good selection of basic op-amps and other useful chips. As an unexpected bonus some PT2399 echo chips are included. This could be used for making a great guitar echo effect stomp box. There are a variety of IC sockets and also included is a SOP-8 SMD to DIP adapter. Why the SOP-8 adapter is in there is unclear since there are no SMD IC's in the chip assortment, but it will probably be useful for future projects. Nice assortment! Good deal!

Fun little set with some common and some newly discoverable chips
A wide variety, and apart from the mandatory things like opamps and 555 timers, some fun chips like the echo chip out of which we're now building our first guitar pedal. Lots of fun and you wouldn't get this selection at such a low cost if you bought them from Mouser or Digikey directly. Recommended!

Good Deal..and Has Pinout Diagrams on Box
While these are common ICs that anyone in electronics likely have the pin-outs memorized for, these guys get kudos for putting a daigram of the pin-outs on the diagram of the part in each bin. I used one of the LM386's in as an audio amplifier for my AM QRP 5 watt transmitter, and it worked fine. I compared the performance to the datasheet and all tolerances were in specification.

Great Assortment of essential chips
Great Assortment of essential chips for DIY guitar audio. So far I have used 3 opamp's and 1 audio interface and they worked as expected. Will buy again but I think it will take me a while. The box is sturdy but I would like the that separate the compartments be fix, in this way you can prevent fot mix it up all the chips during the delivery.

So far used just Optocoupler, next will be 555
For this money I think it's very good kit, haven't seen anything better than this. I used it in conjunction with esp8266 to remotely control my bluetooth speaker over wifi. Worked well! Highly recommended.

Solid collection of chips with sockets
Pro: Solid collection of ics in organized package. Con: Product shows legend on the inside but legend is actually a sticker on the outside. It would have been nice if there was a mirrored insert inside the lid.

Great deal for electronic hobbyist!
Going through what I received in the package. For how cheap it is I was expecting on seeing a bunch of no named IC's . I was happy to find that most of the components are from major chip makers!

LM386 ICs All Faulty
Every single LM386 chip I tested had severe malfunction or did not work at all. Some of the chips acted like short circuits, some barely produced distorted and unreliable output. I tried various configuration by providing a current-limited supply and fed various signals to the circuit, checking waveforms on my DSO and each IC performed differently when compared one with the other under the same test conditions. An LM386 I had from a salvage worker as expected, which stopped me questioning my sanity. I tested the low noise differential output op-amp chips in the kit and those too had me scratching my head at the results, using a circuit straight off a well known mfr data sheet. I plan to check a couple different other chips in the kit tonight, Oct 3-4 and will report my findings by updating this review.
