Excellent zester; tricky channel knife feature
The best zester I've found. Arrives sharp and usable from factory. (Alas this is not the case with some other popular brands.) Easy to hold and can peel off long strands of zest if you like. The only downside of the tool is the channel knife, which is sharp enough but quite difficult to maintain at the proper angle to obtain a nice strip of peel. It requires holding the tool nearly perpendicular to the fruit. Tends to dig out small pieces unless used with great skill. Other channel knife designs that place the flat edge against the fruit work better. Get one of those if you need to cut citrus twists. Use this for zesting.

Not "German"!
When I saw that this was from Germany I jumped on it. This is not razor sharp; does a terrible job. Find something else.

Doesn't work well
Made well, but don't really create ribbons of citrus peel as had hoped.

A Great Zester but not sturdy
This is easy to use both the zester and channel knife. I am enjoying it quite a lot for lemon zest in meals and orange zest in drinks. **Updating to remove some stars and make note: after a handful of great uses, I noticed the blade slipping out of the handle slightly. I now push it in every time before I begin zesting because it is usually a little bit displaced. It is not loose enough to fall out but this will not last for years like I had hoped.
