Are these charms firm/strong or do they bend/break with a little applied force?

They seem sturdy enough to me. I think you would have to press pretty hard against them to bend most of them. (The sword, being thinner, would naturally be more delicate.)

Can the some of the jewelry be worn by men???

Sure! I have a male friend that I gave this to for Christmas, and he wears them (One at a time) on a chain around his neck. It doesn't look particularly masculine or feminine, so it's a good fit for anyone!

Does the metal in the pieces contain nickel?
