Works well for a non-high end terminal
I used this terminal for a new sub box for dual 10" speakers. The terminals themselves are screws on the exterior that will hold down the 14 gauge wire I used. Because this isn't a very high end terminal there might be a slight potential for the screws to loosen over time as the subs hit. If this is the case screw them back down again. On the interior of the terminal is your typical brass connector that is very light weight brass. I recommend soldering to these terminals as terminating to these tabs with a twist of wire won't stay on long. As for mounting the terminals mounts very well and with carpet on the sub box this terminal settled into the carpet and is flush mounted and feels very sturdy. All in all I would buy again.

Looks like original
Worked great for replacing a broken one. Easy to replace and perfect size. Has held up nicely and looks great.

Does the job and that's about it
This is a pretty bare-bones product, but I'm inclined to think it's better than some others on Amazon. I was worried that the plate was going to flex due to my enclosure being sealed and being at 1200W so I used some 2-part epoxy on it as well. I don't think it was necessary in hindsight, but the terminal is airtight and barely resonates vibration out of the box more than the 3/4" birch around it. Highly recommended for a cheap terminal, and unfortunately it's hard to judge these things from pictures online. This one sits about a millimeter proud of the hole and has enough plastic to be rigid under high strain, just be aware that it's plastic and can crack so either hand tighten the screws or use a low torque limit setting on a drill.

Great value and well built
I whipped up some garage speakers out of MDF and these fit the bill perfectly for the task at hand. They are sturdy and finished well. The holes for the mounting screws are countersunk appropriately and the baffle is a nice touch as well. I used a 1 7/8" hole saw and while I think I could have forced it with a rubber mallet, MINIMAL hogging out of the hole with some 220 grit sandpaper yielded a snug fit. I'd gladly purchase these again for a speaker build in the future.

Wow! Expensive for the actual constrruction. The pictures looked good, but this is actually crap!
Wow! Expensive for the actual constrruction. The pictures looked good, but this is actually crap! I feel it was a bait and switch! Did it work, yes. Will it last, NO!. It is now the weakest link in my subwoofer build. Here is why. The plastic cup was fine. The terminals are however, too weak to clamp down on a serious gauge wire for long. The brass rings that are the clamping forrce are thin and not threaded well, they will strip out. Also the terminals will not hold when tightented. #3 is the biggest, it is NOT AIR TIGHT. I could have gotton a better product, for the same money. Instead I paid a preimum, for crapola! Thats the definitian of a ripoff! Amazon is sucking more and more these days. Kind of akin to Wish crap from overseas. NEVER AGAIN! Also, screws and a gasket were promised, but not included. Another ripoff. I wanted to finish my project, so I fixed the issues with epoxy and sealant. I should not have had to for the money I spent. Did I say this was crap! Oh, yeah, this is crap......

Better then i was hoping for
Bought this to replace a broken push in style terminal. No where in the posting does it say it will come with screws, but I'm happy to say it does. It also comes with a rubber gasket to seal the terminal to the box. This will def bring a prefab box up a notch. The terminal holds speaker wire very well. Great for a box that gets moved regularly. My only complaint would be the thin metal used for the spade terminal on the inside of the box. If you use any pressure to slide the speaker wire on, it will just bend the metal. Overall a great item. I would definitely buy again.
