Easy Daily Hydration Supplement
6/20/2024: I am a huge fan of Daylyte Electrolyte Drops. The dropper feature makes it easy to measure and add the right amount to my drinks. It is way cleaner and more convenient than powder supplements, and more cost-effective too.I found this product after searching through a lot of different electrolyte supplements for something simple and unflavored. Though it is technically unflavored, it does add a bit of a mineral taste to the water. I actually find this to be a huge plus. I used to have trouble with hydration partially because I would get sick if I drank more than very tiny amounts at a time. I don't have that issue when I use these drops, so they have the added benefit of increasing the amount of water I drink overall. I think the contents are fairly standard for supplements of this type but I have had to start taking a separate electrolyte supplement for specific health reasons. Even though that other supplement could replace these drops entirely, I keep buying the drops as well just for how much easier they make it for me to drink water.Technically my rating is a 4.5 rounded up. The main downside is the salt crystals that collect on the outside of the dropper (see picture) and have to be cleaned off periodically. It's a minor inconvenience overall. I do also wish the unflavored version wasn't even pricier than the lemon version, but I still find this product to be much more reasonably priced than other supplements I've looked at.Update 9/26/2025: I wanted to update my review to note that they updated the cap design which fixed the issue with the salt crystals collecting on the outside of the dropper. I wish the writing on the dropper for the measurements wasn’t so light, but otherwise the new version is better.

I love this stuff!
Let me start with flavor. I hate water that doesn’t taste a bit mineral. I’m from Italy, where a lot of mineral spring water is the norm. Here in the US, water just seems flat. I hate things like Dasani and Aquafina: whatever they are adding is not enough to give the water some taste. My favorite water is Fiji, that one has some flavor to it. Evian is also good, though a bit flat. This stuff makes my water taste like something! It’s fairly easy to over-do, and when you do it gets a slight bit salty. I don’t mind, but I have been known to add a few grains of table salt to a liter of water. Now for the health benefits. I can tell when my drinks have the correct mix of electrolytes for me. There are days where no matter how much water I drink, I’m always thirsty. On those days, I have been known to chug Gatorade, but that has either too much sugar or unpleasant sweeteners. So, I can tell these drops replenish my electrolytes very well, cause they quench my thirst.I have been using these for about three months now, and it seems my health has generally improved. Mind you, this could simply be because I drink more water since this actually tastes good to me. But my muscles seem less fatigued and I have more energy, I have fibromyalgia, so that is very nice indeed.I have this stuff on auto-order so I never run out. I absolutely love it!

Great if you don't want flavored surgary water.
As I've gotten older I've had a couple of bouts with dehydration. Not any more. I don't care for flavored water. When I'm thirsty I want water. This adds a slight taste like drinking good well water.

Will Order Again
I bought both bottles. My preference is unflavored. I prefer unflavored because lemon flavor is viscous and occludes the dropper at times.. The unflavored is clear and not thick like lemon flavor. Even though it is unflavored it does have some taste. I add it to plain water and the taste is not really a factor.I’ve used other hydration products in the past. Many other hydration products have lots of sugar but this doesn’t. I have a history of dehydration issues and use something daily to supplement my water intake.Daylyte is relatively easy to use being stuck at home due to Covid 19. However, when life gets back to normal and folks are on the go i think it will be more difficult. A 4oz glass bottle and dropper will be tough to carry around. This is my only complaint.I have only used Daylyte a short time but I will make it my go to hydration additive.

Unflavored so you can put it in anything.
Its nice I put it in my cup with water, or juice and drink. It took two days but my electrolytes were very low. I feel so much better.

You're new favorite hydration tool
I've tried quite a few different electrolyte options- some of the "biggest" ones out there, and this is my favorite. Many of the other ones have caused damage to my teeth because of the sugar. Other times the flavors were gross. These drops give me all the benefits of electrolytes without all the other junk. I would describe the taste as just a hint salty- but after maybe two days of it, I actually started to crave my water with these drops. I'm a nursing mother and I noticed adding these to one of my 40oz cups each day had a positive effect on my milk supply. Love the price point as well... I have already recommended these to multiple friends.

Made me sick (twice)
I purchased Daylyte drops for my 70 year old father after his doctor encouraged him to drink sugar free Gatorade and/or sugar free coconut water for electrolytes (I’m pretty sure neither of those exist). This product was listed as a good option for people with diabetes (my father is pre-diabetic and has been working out and running to improve his numbers, hence the need for electrolytes). I’ve been testing new gear (shoes, safety lights, hats, etc) and workout apps (Noom and MyFitnessPal), along with recipes before recommending them to my dad. I received the Daylyte drops three days ago and started using them yesterday after a 10 mile run. I added the correct amount based on the serving size and by the time I arrived at work I had to go to the bathroom (admittedly, I barely made it). I thought it may have been something I ate or the run/heat and went about my day. I went for another run this morning (6 miles) and added the drops to another large cup of ice water. Almost immediately, I found myself back in the bathroom and have had diarrhea three times this morning. My partner, who also ran with me both days and has eaten the same foods —with the exception of the Daylyte drops—has not experienced any stomach issues.Needless to say, I will be asking for a refund and will pass along the Nuun tablets to my father (purchased as part of the same order, but delivered three days prior), which have not caused any stomach issues and only have 2 grams of sugar per tab. Also, as a side note, my bottle of Daylyte has an expiration date of 2023, so no issue there. I will say there is a definitive taste associated with the drops (I even added them to ice water with lemon and couldn’t taste any of the citrus notes because they were overpowered by the flavor of the drops).
