I gave it five stars because after adjusting to it, and not worrying about the little things and the false advertising of the "up to 40 hours", I find this mister a great quiet device that will impact a 400 SF room and increase the humidity level. Let's start with the cons: 1. In the manual that came with the mister, and on the Amazon site it states, "up to 40 hours". Well, it might as well say up to 100 years, because both will be true, but none real. I filled the water tank and placed it to work on the Low mist setting ONLY. The tank was empty after exactly 27 hours. Yes, it worked great, very quiet, and efficient for 27 nonstop hours! So, 40? Not in this world, no matter what you do to it. Of course, it will work even less on the Medium and the High settings, but I went with the Low only. 2. You can see in one of the images I added here that due to condensation at the top of the unit (mist nozle), there's water that needs to be removed before you remove the top in order to lift the water tank, else you'll have water all over your night-stand, bed, table, or wherever you placed the unit. This is not a flaw, but something I bring to your attention. Have a small towel of paper-towel next to the unit. 3. The Essential Oil tray, after pressed in, pops out a fraction of an inch and there's no way to simply slide it out. I had to force the little tray after another reviewer commented that he experienced the same issue. After pinching the tray, it pops out completely (see the two images I attached) and you can place a few drops of essential oil. The good: 1. A gallon of water in the tank makes it running for a long time (up to 27 hours). 2. The unit is very quiet and doesn't take a lot of room on the night-stand. 3. The mist setting levels (Low, Medium, High) have one toggle touch button and you can't turn the unit OFF unless you went through all three levels even if you only use the Low mist level. The manual indicates that if you touch the On/Off button for three seconds it turns OFF the LIGHT in the button, but not the unit. This is actually a good thing because the blue light from the button can be turned off, especially if you intend to let the unit work through the night. 4. The unit has an Auto Shutoff sensor that will turn the unit OFF if there's no water in the tank. 5. The manual is simple to follow, even if it is falsely said that the unit can work "up to 40 hours". There's an explanation on how to clean the tank, the unit, etc. 6. Just like you should expect, the mister will perform best with Distilled water - it says so in the manual, and I know so from the different types I used in the past. Do not use tap water. Do I recommend it? Yes. It does what it supposed to do.

I purchased this humidifier in October 2019 I’ve been using it consistently, literally running it daily, since it arrived early November. So I think I can give a pretty fair review on how the product works and I must say I’m impressed. I’ve read reviews saying it leaves a film on furniture. That’s because they’re not using the correct water in their unit. If you use regular tap water in your unit the crap inside your tap water will result in a film on everything you own. This is a humidifier not a filtration system. The same goes for the comments about a pink slime in their units. Again, use the correct water (it’s in the instructions people). We clean our unit out with mild soap and hot water each time the tank empties. It’s super quick and easy to clean and then we fill it and bring it back upstairs where it resides in our kids bedroom. We have had zero issues with this unit and the only time it leaked a little was user error, we didn’t put the water unit on properly. Another time the mist didn’t come out but again, user error. Lifted the water unit off, dumped the water from the base and put the water unit back on, issue solved. It turns off automatically when the water runs out, the unit is silent as can be. Literally zero noise. It doesn’t run hot at all and we keep it on a wood piece of furniture and not a single hint of damage has been done to the dresser as a result. It has made us definitely interested in other Levoit products and hope to invest in their purifiers next. So thankful to have found this little gem as we have gone through MANY humidifiers before this one.

I bought this a year ago, so I can review it after considerable experience. PROS 1. It does a great job at its main task: humidifying the room. We use it in our bedroom. 2. It is incredibly quiet. Also, works very fast. 3. After (almost) a year of use, I was so happy, that I bought another one (a slightly bigger model) for the living room. CONS 1. Now that I have two, I would recommend the other, larger model. The water reservoir in this model opens from below, and it can be a bit of a pain to refill. The other larger model refills from above, so I can use a pitcher of water to refill it. It is so much simpler. 2. A little before the first year of use expired, it suddenly stopped working. No idea why. Mist would form, but with little pressure. I can report, however, that the customer support was fabulous. I reported it. They asked a few questions verifying that it didn't work and that it was within warranty. Then they mailed me a new replacement, which is happily working.

It has been a few months since I purchased this. I did extensive research on all humidifiers out there because I needed to replace my old, broken one before winter came. The one that kept popping up was from TaoTronics. There were only a handful of reviews for this LEVOIT humidifier (and LEVIOT in general) and hundreds for TaoTronics. The reason I chose LEVIOT was because of its sleek design. Humidifiers out there are so clunky looking and their water reservoirs are needlessly large, which is where cleaning can be a hassle. I can say without a doubt, this is the best ultrasonic humidifier I have owned to date. I love the durability of it, ease of use (only has three settings and that's all you honestly need), and I easily clean it every other morning before leaving for work (empty reservoir and tank, and wipe down with a microfiber cloth). This machine makes it so easy. Oh, and it looks amazing no matter where you put it. It's incredibly sleek, but even my large hands can fit into the tank to wipe out the water to prevent bacteria build up. Note: No matter what humidifier you buy, you should clean regularly. I highly recommend this product and also this company.

My Dad is on blood thinners, he was waking up with a bloody nose everyday. So I asked his doctor what our options were, he said to get a humidifier. I got a humidifier and returned it and then I ordered another one and returned it. I did this 3 times and finally I ordered this one LEVOIT 4L. Finally, a humidifier that didn't leak everywhere and was easy to fill and clean, it was quiet and its mist was adjustable and even on low it was misting a good mist and you only have to fill it like every 3 days on medium. it automatically shuts off when it runs out of water, bonus for me for sure. and there is an on off button that you just touch that's conveniently located on the front, its touch sensitive. My dad doesn't use it in his room we keep it in our living room and run it all day. Out living room is huge and it has vaulted ceilings and it works great. I am so happy I have this humidifier, my dads nose bleeds stopped and everyone is happy. I recommend this for every one that doesn't have one and for everyone that needs one. Definately worth every penny. you wont be sorry.

I needed a humidifier for the bedroom because this winter (in Upper Midwest, USA) has been too dry for words. I found this model to be easy to use, with only one button controlling on/off and low, medium and high settings. This model has no shut-off timer, which some may want, but I didn't really need. Also, this model doesn’t require you to download an app, which I prefer. Filling the chamber is quite easy, and I’ve had no leaks or spills. I also haven’t needed to clean it because I use only distilled water—but cleaning appears to be easy. The noise level was fine for me. It does gurgle now and again, but I found that if you remove the chamber, empty the water from the base, and then put the (filled) chamber back, the gurgling stops. I guess air just gets trapped between the base and chamber. The chamber itself holds about 1 gal. (3.875 liters), which lasts easily overnight on low or medium settings. On low or medium it is enough for my 150 sq. ft. room. Also note: it will take some time for the room, furniture, etc., to absorb the moisture; so, results were not immediate, but after two weeks, I found I no longer wake up with a dry scratchy throat, and my skin is not as dry either. I also keep musical instruments in the room, and, after a few weeks, I find they need tuning less often. Finally, I have used the little tray for essential oil diffusing; it works, but not as well as an actual diffuser would—not a dealbreaker for me, as I just use a separate diffuser.

I have gone through a few diffusers now that just didn't hold up well and really don't give off as much vapor as most humidifiers. The problem I was having was most humidifiers out there do not offer any diffuser options for essential oils. That's when I found this unit and I couldn't be happier. It was a bit more expensive than some of the other options, but definitely worth it. The humidifier is really powerful with three settings. Honestly, for light diffuser use I found the lightest setting to more powerful than other cheaper diffusers. The higher settings are almost a bit overkill or really only needed for high humidying needs. Still nice to have though. There is one main power button and you just hit it once for the lightest setting, again for the second which changes the color, and again for the highest which is another color. Really simple and straight forward. You can also hold down the button which turns the light off while it still runs which is super cool as most other units I have found have an annoying power button which stays on while you're trying to sleep. It's really easy to use too. I like that the top container is separate from the base so you don't risk damanging the electric components while cleaning and it's relatively easy to clean. It's also nice that the diffuser thing is just a little pad you apply the oils to located on the back of the unit. It's really easy to use and add more oils to and it keeps the rest of the unit pretty clean from oil residue and buildup. In summary... Pros -Diffuser option with powerful humidifier (pretty hard to find) -Relatively easy to keep clean -Easy to add more essential oils -Three powerful settings with easy to toggle power button -Option to turn off the power light while running so it stays dark while sleeping Cons -It's still easy to use, but I guess it would be nice to have the option to add more water to the top without having to take it off from the base and unscrew it. I'm really lazy. -Again, not crucial, but some other units have a remote which this one does not.

Pros: Easiest humidifier to refill that I've ever owned. Fairly quiet. Looks sleek and modern. Works well so far. Cons: Tank definitely doesn't last 40 hours in Texas. I had it on medium for about 5 hours and low for about 13 hours and it ran out of water. It might last longer in less dry places... but it's the dry places where you need a humidifier! --- UPDATE: After using this humidifier for a year and a half, I have to give it 5 stars. Yes, I still have to refill it often, but that's true of any standalone humidifier unit here. Compared to the cheap humidifiers I used to get at half the price, this one is easier to refill, runs quieter, and hasn't developed any issues yet. I'm very happy with the quality of this unit at this price point and will probably never go back down to the cheap ones.

Excelente humidificador. Me gusto mucho lo simple que es la operación: un tanque de agua y un botón... listo! La capacidad de elevar la humedad relativa no es muy, por no encontrar una mejor palabra, "potente" Los días que el ambiente estaba extremadamente seco se acababa el tanque dos veces en 10 horas y la humedad relativa no subía mucho. Podría ser que estoy exigiendo más de lo que el aparato es capaz de hacer y eso no lo hace malo, pero al no tener experiencia previa con estos aparatos no puedo estar seguro. De lo que si estoy seguro es que me gusto mucho y seguro compraré otro igual el próximo invierno(o tal vez en los próximos días) Hasta donde pude investigar, no es fácil conseguir más de 500ml/h por el precio que uno compra este, así que creo que preferiría comprar 3 equipos iguales a este que uno muy grande en una sola área. Solo un comentario: la humedad tiende a condensarse en la tapa superior(y en cualquier cosa que esté muy cerca de la salida de la bruma) pero me imagino que eso es propio de cualquier aparato que libere humedad. En resumen: 100% recomendable opción por capacidad y precio

Por supuesto que huele y muchísimo, solo asegúrate de comprar un aceite esencial puro, estos son caros, normalmente están en mínimo $300 cada uno pero valen la pena porque son muy fuertes de olor
